I really like Sieg. Instead of being the son of a great mage or some chode with a twisted dark destiny, Sieg is basically just a human battery who happened to have enough strength to fight back. And thanks to a little support from Astolfo and J'eanne, he just never stopped fighting. He's not contemplating his exact place in the world or which girl in his harem is the cutest, he just wants to live. It's kind of Apocrypha's answer to the usually lofty questions posed by Fate, that this kid who was literally created for one extremely limited purpose breaks away from it to find that he has no reason to live anymore, but that the desire to just BE is reason enough, which could make him heroic to a completely different kind of audience. And I think that's charming.
Fate/Apocrypha
This is bait, right?
Stop copypasta-ing from ANN.
Would (you) let you´re waifu walk around naked and show her otintin to the visitors?
I like him too user. He makes a good self-insert.
She sees Astolfo´s ____

I agree, to an extent. I wouldn't say he surpasses other fate protagonists, but I suppose his "message" is completely different from Shirou's so there's no point in comparing them. The problem I have is that Sieg gets too much attention, whilst other characters have their screentime shafted.
Has a chain of Bait Stay Night images begun?
...
Caues would've fill the protagonist role better than Sieg.
That being said, Sieg doesn't annoy me nearly as much as Jeanne does.
HE'S SHIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIT TO ME
SHHHHHHHHIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIT
This, Sieg is just a pure kid who just gappened to be involved in a holy grail war, he is not a filthy human with ego.
So you don't have a counter argument to this and have resorted to muh bait memes?
those are the typical FSN vnfags who mindlessly hate on spinoffs, just ignore them
That's because OP's post is just copypasta from ANN so there's no point in trying to discuss.
If you look closely at Sieg and who he is, an inhuman creature with humanity thrust upon it and grappling with the responsibility of free will, it's actually a concept that screams "Nasu". It's the implementation of the concept that falls flat, which falls squarely at Higashide's feet.
You post bait meme whenever someone praise Sieg for that point of his character
Because Sieg is objectively bad. Anyone praising him is baiting or has shit taste. He brings nothing to the table whatsoever beyond sounding kind of interesting on paper, though he utterly fails to deliver in the story.
>liking beta cucks.
sasuga Sup Forums. I expect nothing else.
That's wrong, though. He doesn't just want to "live". He's actively giving his life away. What he wants is to give more freedom to homunculi. I don't particularly like him, but I do think in the shit fest that is Apocrypha, he's one of the better characters.
Too bad that plot goes fucking nowhere and it just turns into an extremely poor ripoff of how the Fate route ended.
>Apoc threads now have ANN pasta
It's like they weren't shit enough already.
...
Wow, what a cute boy
At least ANN find some meaning behind Apo unlike most anons on Sup Forums who just shit on it because its not as 'deep' or 'philosophical' as their "masterpiece" VN.
Can´t be helped, she was the slut of Orleans
> THOT killer
What need? It’s bait.
>I'm basically a giant self insert fag
boy it took you a long paragraph to state something so simple
Apo isn't "bad" but it certainly is underwhelming, and that's coming from someone who is pretty lenient on stuff like that. The concept of Apo is a good one, but the execution falls flat. Sieg's story as told by Apo is not done well; for the type of story being told, he needs a lot more screen time, yet the abundant screen time already devoted to him doesn't flesh him out well enough. Sieg was supposed to be the MC, it needed to be all about him. As it is, he just takes away time from everyone else. The screentime he has is not used well.
