Liverpool can stay "English" though.

>Gloucester
I some how managed to misspell it.

Probably too early for a thread. I think a rule of thumb from now on will be we make a Cymru/pol/ thread when there's an Eire/pol/ one.
Turns out Welshposters aren't fucking NEETs, like Shit/pol/.

i will support you boyos
no independence nonsense though

youtube.com/watch?v=wt3n-N8aOKU

Cheshire is Welsh clay?

Nope, Wales will be Plaid Cymru-majority by 2036 and will become independent. Sorry, Anglos, but this is the case. We're going to take back control.
Yes.
Idk if Smith can be a Welsh surname because there were obviously smiths in medieval Wales.

You guys have become total fags though, even your conservative party is super gay

>Plaid Cymru-majority
have fun with that

>your conservative party

Wales should campaign for greater devolution and a separate legal jurisdiction. We can meme free speech into the Welsh parliament from that point onward.

Prynhawn da, hogia!

this better not say anglos out

youtube.com/watch?v=mKAHXZw9zuI

Prynhawn da, fy mrawd.
It means good afternoon.

"Good afternoon, boys!"

>We can meme free speech into the Welsh parliament from that point onward.
I like this idea.

This may, in fact, be possible very soon.

Yes, da/dda = good.

Yeah, I find these do better later in the evening.

Prynhawn is afternoon, da is good.
The sad thing is you spent all that time writing it out and I haven't read a single word beyond the first line.

new thread

how do you say prynhawn and hogia?

>consonants
>white

prin-how-n (how as in "How?")
da
hog-ya

>how do you say prynhawn and hogia?
Depends regionally.
Prynhawn = prin-hown
Not too confident in how to pronounce hogia correctly, i'm still learning Welsh, though I think it's said like "hog-yah"

Attached: czj11.jpg (236x357, 16K)

Prin-hown ("ow" like in "howl").
Hog-ya
Vowels are pathetic.

Attached: welsh.png (701x472, 146K)

i never know what sound the Ys are suppposed to be

"Y" is either like "i" in "bin" or like "u" in "gun".

i can never tell which it's supposed to be
is there any kind of rule of thumb?

Usually just whichever sounds better.
It can sometimes be like "ee" in "cheese" too.

Vowels are for the weak.

It's the annoying one to learn.

you should phrase out the rest of the vowels just use y for all vowels

it's like a secret code

If this thread tanks (probably will, too few Cymry on Sup Forums right now) I'll make another this evening.

Not really any rules of thumb I'm afraid.

Annoying examples:
cynt [kint] - before
cyntaf [kynt-av] - first

mynydd [myn-ith (th as in 'the'] - mountain

dyn - man, which has the longer 'u' Welsh sound.

Very inconsistent letter.

Diolch, ngwas i.
