It seems like they're barely going to have enough time to finish the tourney. Next ep will be chapter 40 and most of 41 if not all. Then they'll probably cram Kugimiya's backstory into an ep with chapter 42 and then they have 2 episodes to wrap everything up.

It really is a travesty that they cut them because they play an important part in Kugimiya's characterization.

Cutting the cousins is unforgivable from a characterization and merchandising perspective, but uggo jr. is a fun character. If the author doesn't die of the japanese cold before she can continue on with the series not including the cousins could end up being a major problem if a third season of the anime was ever to happen.

They did a damn good episode this time. It went lots of places, yet it all felt dseamless and engaging and before long the 24 minutes have passed. Kinda surprised they left out the cousins, since they're running out of material to adapt at lightning speed and it would have helped to flesh out Kugimiya. Still, the episode was a blast and shows how strong the source material has gotten at this point, when all the different character buildups and ensemble dynamics start to pay off.

What does this do exactly anway? Do real life dancers actually do this stretching?
