S2 when

s2 when

Never, it was one of the worst selling anime ever.

Yup, pretty much sums it up, a lot of people misunderstood this masterpiece because "it looked different than the manga".

No, it's because it looks disgustingly ugly.

They could have easily kept the look of the manga but I was happy they went with this as well. Adds more to the atmosphere

It got so bad that even most die-hard fans of the manga hated it.

it's aesthetically fun though

It's aesthetically vomit-inducing. The feeling of having to vomit is not fun, so it's not aesthetically fun.

step aside, pleb
Art's being ushered through the Door of the Perceived as we speak, I'm sure you don't wanna get fucking sincerified

Should I go with the manga or the anime?

Fund it.

Let's be honest the manga art is pretty bad too. In a different way, but it's still bad.

The rotoscope looks better.

Doesn't matter when in the end Inside Mari is 10x better.

Never.

It's supposed to.

Life is ugly.

Commie propaganda is not real life.

It's only fun for the meta surrounding it, like going online and pretending to love it to fish some easy (You)s.

It looked like the Sick Animation found rodoscope

>implying

>It got so bad that even most die-hard fans of the manga hated it.
brainlet detected. people who liked the manga dislike the anime, people who liked the anime dislike the manga. It's made for entirely different category of people.

>we could have this instead of the trash anime style

manga for plebs
anime for elitists

if you're like most of Sup Forums and just want to watch cute moeshit all day, manga is your choice (don't know if it's any good tho, never bothered reading it). The anime has a very different approach. It's main purpose is realism within the uncanny walley and I think the rotoscope was a genius choice for it.

Fuck off Satan it was one of the few adaptations that did justice to the manga.

I would like a movie.

>commie propaganda

i think that uglyfying characters and eerie rotoscope make us desympathize with characters and shows their ugly side, suits better than generic manga style

>generic

...

I don't think the rotoscoping was ugly, the manga artist also supervised it and was satisfied, I think it gave a lot to symbolism, like with the faces you can only see when they are close. The music was really fitting and at times "hauntingly good". But what I liked the most is the whole atmosphere. The seven minute long walk scene was full of anxiety and anticipation, I didn't think it was boring, because by that time I was already invested in the characters. It was similar to how mangas have panels that only show some scenes of the surroundings. And it was the only show that could ever make me understand why the main character had a difficult time to choose (the scene on the mountain) . I don't think it has anything to do with elitism, the show just gave me something unique, and I don't want others to miss this because some people just go with the crowd and say it sucks, when actually it does not.

I find Nakamura more cute in the anime.

this desu

Because this version pictures the troubled girl she is, who needs a psychologist, and in the manga she looks like a cute devil.

Does even count as an Anime?

>manga for plebs
>never bothered reading it.

Uh.

Why wouldn't it?

It's not complete shit or a masterpiece. It's part brillant and part awful, so it evens out at the end.
Left me frustrated more than anything.

I guess it's better if you haven't read the manga since it works as a bold "adaptation", but fails horribly as a straight adaptation. No matter what Oshimi did on the show, it feels absolutely nothing like his work.

We don't need a S2 of this ugly shit.

Re:Zero is the good show which deserve a continuation.

What was awful in it?

ok, maybe i should say unappealing, art in manga didn't fit to the story imho

Hopefully soon. I'm getting real tired of the vapid cgdct trash. AnH was truly refreshing to watch, would be great if they made more of it.

You should get busy reading the part of the manga which wasn't adapted, because you won't see an anime made of it anytime soon.

Meh. His Mari was manga was infinitely superior.

Probably never. Shame too because its one of my favorite chinese cartoons, but not very marketable.
I read the manga afterwards and its a damn shame that the manga looks like ass visually.

>2013
I don't think so.

Man, this show really got to me. I spent the whole anime trying to see the beauty in this unattractive girl, and it finally happened when they were gonna run away and Takao couldn't make up his mind between her and Saeki. The facial expression she made... damn.

And then I continued to the fucking manga and she was just your typical anime looking girl, albeit just a bit more mischievous looking
