>Tippu Tib, also called Muhammed Bin Hamid, (born 1837—died June 14, 1905, Zanzibar [now in Tanzania]), the most famous late 19th-century slave trader in central and eastern Africa. His ambitious plans for state building inevitably clashed with those of the sultan of Zanzibar and the Belgian king Leopold II. The ivory trade, however, apparently remained his chief interest, with his state-building and political intrigues serving as means to that enterprise.
>He would have his men kidnap and then sell people from the tribes all in and around his territory. >He had seven clover plantations, a small force of at least ten thousand slaves and a personal harem which he visited daily.
Nothing about him is not normal for his time and place. I don't know why whites go around bragging about "enslaving" blacks when all they did was buy them but off of guys like this. Wealthy arabs obviously trusted him enough to make him thier black point of contact, which gave him the leverage to exploit other blacks.
Luis Robinson
Black people. They say they were stolen.
Carson Ward
No it's what's taught in school. When I was in school they literally said whites went to Africa and just started throwing nets over niggers. It didn't sound right even back then, but who was I to question?
Jacob Davis
Not even just this guy. Who do you think was rounding up slaves for the ships in West Africa? Pretty much every local tribe warred with each other and sold captives for profit. Sometimes, they even sold some of their own.
Touregs still enslave other sub-Saharan Africans today and some Berber tribes in North Africa still buy them for food.
Jackson Edwards
>minorities had to kowtow to white western created oppression and evil >WHITES HAVE NO RESPONSIBILITY FOR THEIR ATROCITIES ANYMORE WOOOOO
lmao whitoid logic
Nolan Rivera
The same guys who killed those US troops in Niger were human traffickers/slave traders.
Brody Perry
>he actually thinks the fact they were kidnapped and then sold by people other than those that bought them makes slavery ok
>Sheikh Hamed - or "Tippu Tip" as he was nicknamed by African contemporaries for his ruthless tactics of firing guns (T.9: 195) - is introduced by Brode as a big estate owner in Zanzibar who played an important role in the exploration of the African interior. >He reaped fortunes by selling firearms and gunpowder to those he considered allies in these feuds, in exchange for supplies of slaves from the vanquished. In this way, the Wasangu, for example, used the arms supplied by Tippu Tip for slave raiding incursions against the Wabena, Wakimbu, and Wahehe in the mid-1860s. Tippu was a based nigga, Hollywood should make a movie about him.
>Black people never sold other black people into slaver Yes they did. There are entire history books on this subject. The entire fucking history of Africa is rife with slavery dumbass. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Slavery_in_Africa
Strawman. The point is that no race is free of sin and Africans were just as culpable as Europeans in the practice of slavery.
Anthony Evans
Fair enough.
Isaac Hughes
WE WUZ STOLEN
Blake Anderson
White people had the least slaves of any race, and the shortest periods of slavery. The Islamic, African, and Chinese slave trades were much larger and lasted longer.
And are all still going on today, especially in Africa.
Asher Green
There are 200,000 child slaves in Haiti right now.
Cameron Diaz
Are you an absolute cretin?
Jonathan Ward
>Are you an absolute cretin? Nope, just correct fagit.
Nolan Young
Listen you iq 84 individual, how can I claim that black people never sold other black people into slavery when I post about a black slave trader?
