Proxy conflict, cyber attacks, trade sanctions etc. Fighting a modern war the same way we did in the past is as ludicrous now as it was during any other conflict. WW2 was more efficent and widespread than WW1 because people learned from them mistakes of that conflict, this second cold war is spread out over more theaters with better weapons.
The day this conflict goes hot is the day one side decides to do a scorched earth policy rather than admit defeat.
