About 25 different types of percussion instruments. Some plucked string instruments like the Viola Caipira and Cavaquinho. The bandolim (note, not exactly the same as mandolin) was probably invented in portugal but we were the ones to really make it what it is today. Some rustic flutes.

Well one time when I was like 6 I slapped my bald grampa on the head and he went "HEY" so I sang sort've a russian tune and was like dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun and slapped him again for the HEY at the end and then I went for the second refrain but it was the 70's so when I got to the last "dun" he punched me right in the face, the smack perfectly accentuated the melody.
