We've found that it's generally a good thing when strings double up on a part because it makes the mix sound more full. We've even had some violins record multiple tracks to put in the mix.

i'm kind of motivated after seeing these other anons pick up their violins again. i need to clean the trumpet, buy a mouthpiece, and retrain my embouchure and lungs so it'll be at least a couple months before i can record.
Thanks user Play mostly electric bass and some guitar, would be fun to fuck around and play some of these songs. However listening to some of the work I wish I had picked up violin or piano.
