>Backpacks are a part of speech
How?

Jews are vampires man, they can't see their own reflection.

If you scribble "FUCK DRUMPF" all over it, it becomes free speech.

The scribble does, the bag does not.

>we shouldn't do this, because it will violate muh first amendment
>government, please violate these other peoples' second amendment

what do clear backpacks have to do with the first amendment?

Irony

lol

No. They have no problem lobbying to take away others rights, but when their rights are violated, they cry foul. The scary thing is these dumbasses will be running the world in 25 years or less.

I would assume because clothes are a reflection of who you are. Getting able to decide what you want to wear is a big deal. Like prisoners having to wear orange jumpsuits and the like. I wouldn't be for this either if it were me but anyone from that school who was against gun rights deserve it. I feel bad for the kids that didn't give a fuck.

they're literal retards and meant the 4th (and potentially 5th) amendment, but civics isn't even taught in public school anymore

Theyre learn a valuable lesson: you can have individual liberty or state security, but not both. Its more important than anything they will learn in school.

Did any shooter ever even hide the gun in their backpack? Even once? I mean an AR15 wouldn't even fit in most backpacks, and it's not like th shooters would use stealth to get into the best spot within the school. They show up holding the guns, and they just go in shooting.

Clear backpacks will change nothing.

I don't see what ID tags have to do with it either. It's not like the shooters were people sneaking in off the streets and pretending to be students. It has been an actual student of the school every time, and having an ID tag wouldn't have stopped any of them. In fact, having an ID tag might make it more appealing, since that way you know for sure everyone will know your name.

This smells like security theater.

>Are these kids even capable of self-reflection?

>Children
>self-reflection
The lack of self-reflection is a defining trait of a child.

I think they’re talking about 4th A rights to personal property and unreasonable seizure. Everyone can see everything you have in there, so it’s like having to present your property to authorities. Anything wrapped up to be concealed would probably be treated as probable cause to search.

Supposedly he got to school via an uber ride. I doubt the driver would've let him in the car if he was holding an AR-15. So, chances are, he had the weapon disassembled in his backpack.

Schools are enforcing clear backpacks, uber is not. He could have thrown it in a gym bag if he wanted to. Plus, unless they enforce clear books and clear paper as well, you can easily hide something behind your school work, especially if its dissembled.

Public schools are one of the three places your constitutional rights are denied, along with prisons and the military. So the school can do whatever they want and your whining means absolutely nothing.

They don't care about rights. They're just willing to say whatever they need to in order to utilize authoritarian means to achieve their perceived political utopia. These are the same people that simultaneously say they believe in free speech but that hate speech isn't free speech and happen to think that everything that doesn't align with their views is hate speech.

They can't install metal detectors atm, so they're looking for something that looks like it will keep kids safe.

if that's the case then why can't I put as dark of tint as I want on all of my car windows? having light tint still allows cops to look into it when I'm parked.

>19 year old high school student.

Oh now they care about the constitution.

HOGG-IFIED.

>19 year old high school student
>oblivious to delicious hypocritical nonsense

>Getting able to decide what you want to wear is a big deal.
True.. However, they're not forced to wear anything outside of the school.. This would 'violate' the 1A as much as 'no shoes no shirt no service' does.

>What does being a student in primary/secondary American education mean for your "freedoms"?

Once you turn 18[or so], if you really don't like it, you can get the fuck out. I think they are considered part time state property or some shit, i dont know. fuck that shit.

he had his rifle in a black gunbag(so the story goes). pic related are the cops running away from the scene of the crime with it.

Attached: theblackbag.webm (720x480, 2.89M)

>because big black bags don't ever go boom

That's what she said..

they are kids so, no.

Hogg need to SHIT HIS MOUTH!

Attached: 10.png (1155x390, 392K)

How I read it, these retarded kids think that freedom of expression is guaranteed by the first amendment.

>>Backpacks are a part of speech

but guns aren't a part of the people's right to keep and bear arms.

This is why we don't allow children to vote.

Attached: liberals.jpg (665x654, 113K)

But there's laws already prohibiting certain forms of expression like nudity in public areas; he can wear whatever the fuck he wants in private, but that's not guaranteed elsewhere.

ironically, this decency law primarily for the women and kids...

>but that's not guaranteed elsewhere
You mean like in school?

isn't search and seizure the 4th amendment though?

But doesn't the story also go that he had full body armor, facemask and helmet? That would be a big backpack.

>This smells like security theater.

Of course it is. So is all the bullshit we put up with at airports. So is any of the ham fisted and unconstitutional gun bans these retards would cob together if you sat them down with pen and paper.

Play stupid games, win stupid prizes.

Freedom of expression is protected by the 1st Amendment.

4U

>Freedom of expression is protected by the 1st Amendment.

You have never even read the constitution, have you?

>Freedom of expression is protected by the 1st Amendment.
Not at school.

only expression through speech

>brings in a bag full of weed to school
>sells that bag full of weed to other underage kids, and maybe some teachers
>now that student is corrupting other minors, or if they aren't minors they are in a position to expose minors
>gotta protect muh kids.

same shit as if you get caught with drugs in a school zone. unfortunately our society has already expected that we need to limit the rights of our children, seemingly in argument that kids have no rights until they are not kids. maybe should have just said everyone brings pink backpacks or some stupid shit, maybe make a schedule out of it, and now they argue you gotta subsidize all this shit cause of the new financial burdens on students.

anyone else like "but what if i wanted my kid to take a bullet proof backpack to school?" they make clear kevlar? fuck.

>Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.
Nope, it is not.

liberals don't realize that the 2nd amendment protects their 1st amendment rights

Attached: leo monster maga.jpg (470x470, 47K)

nope, because leftists aren't even self aware
and so because they're not only nothing Human but actually stand against errything Human

When the non-American is the only person in the thread who has even read the constitution,

Never change, Sup Forums

>Man arrested for threatening to murder Virginia congressman

I mean, but he sounded sincere... like, his words wounded all who were in earshot.

>wants to violate the second amendment
>transparent backpacks
>REEEEEEE MUH FIRST AMENDMENT

Attached: REEEEEEEEEEEEE.png (680x680, 339K)

That moment when you realize the USA is systematically divided up Hunger Games style by the Bill of Rights.

Do you know what also violates our second amendment rights..?

Attached: 1519537930838.jpg (639x640, 50K)

It's weird that people call the 1a-10a the "bill of rights", when amendments 1, 3, 5, 8 & 10 don't mention rights at all.. Only things the gov't is prevented from doing.

THEY DID IT!

Attached: 1512018899685.jpg (720x641, 30K)

This. We gotta remember that these are a bunch of dumb kids getting a crash course in how the real world works. Hogg might even turn out alright in the end.

>It's weird that people call the 1a-10a the "bill of rights", when amendments 1, 3, 5, 8 & 10 don't mention rights at all.. Only things the gov't is prevented from doing.
They are rights, just derived from God, not the government, and the government has no authority to supersede your rights from God.

Attached: davidfagg.jpg (2000x1125, 178K)

I think they're just mocking us at this point

I want to say they are arguing that the backpacks are a punishment for their protests, but this seems more like their true understanding showing now that nobody is writing on their behalf.

you dont have rights in school

>They are rights, just derived from God, not the government
i mean i love God and all, but no.. that shit wasn't granted by the grace of God.... it was created from the beginning as a "reasonable limit" to our God given freedoms when enforced for a society. All countries started out great, but none ever stay that way. besides that, we been taking God out of everything for the past almost 60 years worldwide.

Yet the amendments themselves do not mention the rights themselves, only the things done to prevent the gov't from infringing upon those rights (which themselves are never mentioned)..
If I say: The gov't is not allowed to hike the prices of fuel, then that does not automatically mean you have a right to low-cost fuel

apparently kids dont have 4th amendment rights in school. they can search your locker whenever they want

Tints make it harder for drivers to see other cars, you're more than welcome to put things in your trunk or any other compartment.

wrong

Maybe that's why the kids were directed to make the complaint about the 1st, rather than the 4th.

>i mean i love God and all, but no.. that shit wasn't granted by the grace of God

The Founders thought natural rights came from God.
scholarlycommons.law.wlu.edu/cgi/viewcontent.cgi?article=3506&context=wlulr

SCOTUS ruled that burning an American flag is protected under the first amendment. so there is precedent that non-verbal expression is protected under the first amendment

yup

uniforms in schools, no media in the classrooms, no talking

this would be an all-time greatest blunder for the uniparty. target 2A and accidentally piss off an entire generation by removing their freedoms

Attached: image.jpg (782x766, 144K)

>The gov't is not allowed to hike the prices of fuel, then that does not automatically mean you have a right to low-cost fuel
You are correct. That is the difference between positive, negative, and natural rights.

So why would you then call it the 'bill of rights' if only 5 of them actually use the word 'right'?

>fuck the constitution, man
>whoa, bro. we need to uphold the constitution

here's a good idea. let's lower the voting age to 16.

Attached: 1521251087325.png (520x390, 22K)

... natural rights do come from God. By God's grace we have to right to do... whatever we want. Yes, ANYTHING UNDER THE SUN. That's our God Given Rights. But that's not very social is it?

do you understand what a negative right is?

Inb4 "I have a god-given right to be a pedo"

we have a right to do anything that doesnt negatively impact another person against their will, and we have a right to not be fucked with by another person, hence hy we have a right to bear arms

you have the right to sin according to God's law. He doesn't not make our decisions. I didn't say I disagree with the Founding Fathers of America. They hit the nail pretty much on the head before the first revision.

Yes.. However, why not just say: "The people have the right not to..." instead of "congress cannot"

Yeah, and Grizzly Adams had a beard.

Wouldn't the right of the kid not to be raped supercede your right to be a pedo though?

saying they come from Gods amounts to saying they come from our nature
hence why the name: natural rights

Schoolchildren should not have the rights of adults.

en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tinker_v._Des_Moines_Independent_Community_School_District
>Justices Hugo Black and John M. Harlan II dissented. Black, who had long believed that disruptive "symbolic speech" was not constitutionally protected, wrote, "While I have always believed that under the First and Fourteenth Amendments neither the State nor the Federal Government has any authority to regulate or censor the content of speech, I have never believed that any person has a right to give speeches or engage in demonstrations where he pleases and when he pleases." Black argued that the Tinkers' behavior was indeed disruptive and declared, "I repeat that if the time has come when pupils of state-supported schools, kindergartens, grammar schools, or high schools, can defy and flout orders of school officials to keep their minds on their own schoolwork, it is the beginning of a new revolutionary era of permissiveness in this country fostered by the judiciary."

Weren’t those the swat guys that weren’t supposed to be there?

your right to die would supercede my right to kill you. but hey, i'm just fucking around. seriously tho, i am not arguing against individual rights, just trying to point out that by corrupting a system so beautiful and simple, you make it so complex that not any one person can truly make a call as to why what is "immoral" is now "illegal" or whatever case you may use.

THE SAME WAY PORN IS YOU FUCKING BIGGOT

Guessing they're confusing the first amendment with the fourth amendment.
I'm not surprised since they both start with the letter F.

"but David, you have to cause school safeties and the gun violins"
>o rly? well, if the govermant says so I guess it's OK
Hogg shows up for next televised attention hogging appearance
>see, we gave up our silly little first amendment, no big deal. your move dahnald NRA

So you have a right not to be fucked with by the government in those ways.

The first amendment was written before backpacks were invented. The founding fathers never thought something like a backpack would exist.

Attached: Hogg_the_ZOG_Cog.gif (500x363, 1.03M)

realizing that there will ALWAYS be a situation which grabs an emotional response from some group of people, to give calls to modify...
fuck it..
why is mutual dueling illegal again?

More like
>see, we....
SHUT UP HOGG, YOU HAVE NO RIGHT TO SPEAK!

>throw gym bag with AR and 30 round clipazines over the fence into schoolyard
>stroll through the metal detector
>do the dirty

Only thing metal detectors are gonna stop is niggers bringing their hi-points in since they’re too dumb to plan anything out

>This smells like security theater.

Yup. I think even more useless measures should be applied around the entire country. If the left wants to use children to push gun control, it's only fair to make them as safe as possible. We need to turn our schools into prisons.

We're putting an age limit. No freedom of expression until 21.

because you might duel someone who meant to say no but maybe their was a dick stuck in their throat... so we had to protect said duelee's, and turn them into cowards. one piece at a time. this bullshit protectionism is one big part of the problem. FRNAKLIN, WHACHOO SAY .. "those who give up" what?

Prisons already serve better food and generally have better exercise equipment.
