Manga thread/discussion. What are you reading, Sup Forums?

I read Oneechan no Imouto by the same author and it was shit

manga are for pedos
catching up on btooom
pumpkin scissors, it's pretty decent.
full translations never...

Finished manga:

Ran to haiiro
Devilman
Gunnm

other:
Promised neverland
SNK
Dr. Stone etc etc...

>everything you pick up
Kill me.

>still no translations

You realize Pumpkin Scissors is being actively being published in English right? v15 just came out.

I'm reading Bartender. While it's an enjoyable read,i don't like how the mc is able to resolve his customers problems every single time. He's too perfect, even if they show he's still not the best bartender at this time.

Currently going through "Kokou no Hito". Enjoying it so far. I think the worst character is the main character. He isn't very likable.

No idea what I'm going to read next though.

yes, i've considered buying it.

Slowly reading my way through pic related.

Pic related, as a fan of retro vidya I really like it, the translation has been pretty slow though.

Just finished Kokkoku. It was a good read. MC running around in an apron was especially cute. Too bad she changed her outfit in the middle of the manga.

Reading Go-Toubun no Hanayome chapter 12 as I edit it, just finished page 14.
I didn't want to make a new thread about this yet since it's not 100% done, but I'm not dead yet so most likely will finish tonight, it's possible one or two pages will need to be done tomorrow but I'm never gonna give you up.

Also about chapter 13, for TL user: I'm ok with it, I'll start cleaning as soon as I finish 12.

Is this a new series? What's it about?

Is there any manga database with a "quality ending" tag? I'm tired of all these rushed or mediocre finales.

You don't like the legendary Mori Buntarou? What's wrong with you? Next thing you are gonna tell us you can't self insert us him and that he is werd.

You are a pleb. The only thing that bothers me is getting the ending spoiled by Sup Forums, otherwise I don't give a crap if it's bad, as long as I enjoyed the manga. Finding a manga with a satisfying ending is pretty hard, though.

Currently reading this, i'm up to volume 5 and while it's nothing incredible it's still fun

I hope the anime is as good as the manga

Wait seriously?

I'm into reading depressing shit roght now, though there aren't many good manga with that description that end up being actually good.

All I remember about it is that the MC is a big bara dude

I started reading Golden Kamuy since I saw it in a bookstore. I like it so far, it's like an American wilderness story complete with a native and a military veteran as characters but in Japan

Yeah, go buy it for $8 so they don't drop it and we have to suffer for another 10 years.

Enjoy, it's a wild ride

>pumpkin scissors
i don't know what it is but i really like the progression on these older action shonen. or maybe it's the girl MC with the strong sidekick that does it for me.
i don't remember seeing many new series with this kind of setup.

>edgy imitation
But why

I’ve recently started Sachi-iro no One Room. It’s still new, but it’s nice to read something which has a bit tragedy on it when the current manga scene has nothing but stupid romance or comedy stuff.

I'm about to start Gamaran, I heard it's a fun shonen

Anyone read it yet?

Just finished catching up on Fire Punch. What a wild fucking ride my friends. It felt like the author just got the plot laid out up to ~twentieth chapter but then the publisher broke in like "we got good ratings we're a long running series now come up with more shit" and then Tatsuki came up with more shit

Tomo-chan wa Onnanoko!
Danberu nan kiro moteru?

Anime when?

No, but I heard it's pretty good too.

I finished reading Wallman, might start either Magico or Uratarou next. But I'm taking a small break besides whatever I currently follow, I've been reading a lot of stuff lately.

Picked Jahy-sama up today. First chapters were pretty funny

Started reading Barakamon after finishing the anime, damn it's cute. The art in the early chapters is sorta weird though. Season 2 never.

I recently got caught up with Masamune kun no revenge and now I want more

>is there a debatable tag that caters to my opinion

No.

I just started Pluto recently and have been trying to catch back up with Yotsuba, both are really good.

I just picked up Musou Telepathy and read all the translated chapters. It's really good but why does the author have to add so much drama. The twist about her powers was cool though.

Started reading kaguya which start fine then become good then great in the 3 volumes I've read so far.

>lit girl not getting translated
>jangaaan not getting translated
>strong nice girl not getting translated

I began reading it and dropped it pretty early on, don't really get what the appeal was.

>Ran to haiiro
that artist needs to get back to work

Just opened a tab for Ichigeki. I have zero idea what I'm getting into.

rereading ravages of time
as a chink i'd really like to redo this translation, it butchers some of the expressions

She already has a new series in Harta. the first volume came out this month.

just recently finished Bambino! and Bambino Second and now I'm catching up on one punch man since I haven't read it in like a year

I need to finish the last volume of Ryuushika Ryuushika

I finally picked up Gintama, and I'm loving it. I've tried it a few times before now, but it never really clicked til now. Annoying that batoto is missing chunks of chapters here and there.

Watamote. The last chapter I read was around twenty or so, and I'm at ninety now. Surprised anyone would want to associate with this sperg with everything she's done.
Thinking about re-reading Moon or trying out the NHK manga, dunno which yet.

Found Totsukuni no Shoujo at a bookstore the other day and started reading it online, the magazine scans at least the early ones don't really hold up to the volume.

Unrelated, but I've been trying to look for a manga where a girl and a guy like 80s culture in Japan, and at one point the girl got an 80s haircut, anyone know that one, been looking for it for a bit.

If it's a recent one, probably you mean Slow Motion.

>ends in three volumes
I was hoping for more.

Ah, I think this is it. Thanks!

Reading kaibutsu oujo, hopefully someone picks up the sequel.

What percentage of manga that you guys try do you end up enjoying? I've just been going through baka updates to find manga and I drop at least 80% of everything, plus most of the stuff I do finish is just mediocre.

>I drop at least 80% of everything
I do that with anime and books too. I just keep picking up random shit till one keeps my interest.

It's garbage anyway.

...

Recently finished Holyland, loved it. Started reading Shamo hoping it would be similar, but ended up dropping it 10 volumes in.

Going to start Zetman tonight

According to mal, I've roughly read 130 manga and out of those I've dropped roughly 30. That means I've dropped 20% of all the manga I've read. So out of 10 I drop 2. But that doesn't mean I really enjoy 8 out of 10 because enjoyment is pretty relative.

I'm a pretty slow reader and I don't pick up something unless I'm almost certain It's right up my alley.

Thank you so much user! I'd have to imagine doing all this by yourself would time a good deal of time, especially to do well

what did you read recently?

Spent the last two days reading Karate Shoukoushi Kohinata Minoru. Good shit.

i just read the first four chapters of wandering island online the other night before realizing that despite being 7 years old is for sale translated by dark horse comics (so i bought it)

The last couple manga I enjoyed were Eden no Hana and Toukyou Lastochika

>Caught up and waiting on new chapters
Saotoma Senshu
Gokicha
Hitori Bocchi
Sensei Lock-On!
Yuuutsu-kun to Succubus-san
Otome Danshi
Kawaii Joushi
Yankee Shota to Otaku Onee-san
Somali to Mori

>Need to catch up
Bokura no Kiseki
Yakumo-san wa Edzuke

>Need to fucking start
Eden

Yes I cut most of the names in half, sue me.

Mob Psycho, we had an omake this week and i'm salty, I wanna see the aftermath of Mobs temper tantrum

i mean regardless of my position on that issue
I would be way too lazy to do that

I forgot it's already there, I thought tl's were behind but I think author is just not finishing it.

i read a post a couple days ago about a second volume having been made recently
it's on amazon under 冒険エレキテ島(2) (KCデラックス アフタヌーン)

Working through soredemo machi wa mawatteiru. Never see it discussed here.

Nice SoL with some strange things thrown in. Characters are fun. Hotori is fucking awesome. Gonna switch over to the anime as soon as i'm done, it has a pretty good cast and is animated by SHAFT.

Can't wait for the anime and the massive amounts of /k/ porn and 90's violence

>started skimming pages explaining another inuit dish or hunting technique

that's just part of the recent "secretly a cooking manga" trend that's been sweeping the nation

I knew nothing about Ainu culture so I enjoy those pages.

I drop very little manga, really (although whether the translators drop it is a different matter). For some reason I have a much easier time getting through manga than I do anime, which I can rarely finish even if I'm enjoying them.

Finally reading One Punch Man and I got bored of it near the start, but my friend wanted me to read it

Does Miso look like poop or something, I don't get it.

Following about 90 series, most of which are hardly ever released or scanlations simply ded. Hundreds in my backlog.

The bunny girl (Nanachi) is a terrible cook.

Did you read raws? I only see scanlation up to volume 3.

I remember that but in Golden Kamuy she always acts like Miso is shit.

I want to start reading Kinnikuman because I remember watching episodes back in my childhood and it being really fun.
Is it worth it? Should I stick to anime?

Bought all 8 volumes of Arai's SCATTER. It's such a shame only one volume got translated. This is some weird shit.

...

Wait what the fuck happened to Jangaaaan??

>not getting translated

>opened a tab
If this means you're reading online then I strongly encourage you to look into downloading your manga, it has very practical benefits aside from setting you apart from newfag scum. And Ichigeki is pretty good so far.

Yes, it was in my backlog for a while but since I've learned that it's getting an anime I've decided to read it.

If you're just reading new chapter it's not worth bothering.

I just started appleseed.

Is this pic related?

>he thinks someone is a scum if they read manga online
>he thinks he's superior because he download his manga
Nigga I have more than 200 manga on my reading list. I can't keep track of everyone of them if I don't read online.

Read Golden gold some time ago. Was pretty good. Scans never.

How does reading online help keep track?

It's faster. I only download manga released by shitty scanlators that don't have a online reader like mangatopia for instance.

If you're not a nigga who reads on mangafox or others resized crap online readers it's completely fine.

>Is this pic related?
lolno but it's the same author, HSG is a romcom set in 90s Japan arcade gaming.

I haven't read that series yet

Nice cyberpunkish late 80's manga.

waiting for the handful of manga I'm really interested in to get translations

though like half are licensed so I should just stop being jewish and buy em
