He definitely can't compare to the big Dragon level threats that are going to be unleashed in the MA, but he's at the level where he can give them some trouble, at least. Hence, the kick he'll be giving Fuhrer in the future.

I doubt he'll be taking down a Dragon level in this arc, though.

Do they purposefully avoid using the same translations as fan translations for legal purposes? Like if they used the same sentence, the fan translator would have a right to payment or something? Because they are sometimes really deliberate in sounding different, even if it is inaccurate.

Nah, I think this chapter is supposed to show how much better Genos' handling has become. That panel of him getting cut in half? He simply reconnects his torso and launches himself into Elder's body (I think that's the sequence, given all the panels we've seen) and launches a final desperation attack. But all Genos' efforts simply seems to have been for naught; even worse, it simply helped Elder apparently power up by assisting in his molting. I really think this chapter has helped a lot in conveying how massively Genos has improved while simultaneously showing how simply outmatched he is that his attacks essentially had no effect at all on Elder in the end.
