It doesn't make his warning any less true, some of the first words I learned in Dutch were variations of kanker. Why you would choose to take issue with such a commonly known fact, is baffling.

There's no real left wing in the Netherlands, that is: in long gone times leftwingers would hold the interest of regular joes at heart, they'd be for egalitarianism, against special treatment of religions/the religious, against discrimination/racism/sexism, and so on an so forth.
Currently all left wing parties we've got are in favor of all those things and calling regular joes "dumb hillbillies" (or "tokkies", somewhat of a dutch equivalent named after a family featured in a documentary, famous for the enormous amount of trouble they'd inflict on their neighbors/direct surroundings.) seems to be their favorite pastime. This of course while cheering on the relocation of many tens of thousands of culturally incompatible backward illiterates to the Netherlands and literally screaming for many more.
Really politically our country is in quite a sad state.
