Even with guns, violence in US is a serious problem (around 16 thounsand homicies). But do you know what would really happen if there is a gun-ban? No?

Brazil would happen. 60 thousand homocides a year. Violence in Brazil peaked after the 2003's Statute of Disarmament, and kept increasing.

Only you can defend your own right, americans. Don't let the agenda that destroyed my country to take yours. Good luck.

Finally a sensible Shitzilian here. Only the criminals will have guns. What the fuck kind of life is that. We would be easy targets.

Why did violence increase after the gun ban?

Well, government, and his armed force (police), took the weapons from the civilians. But the barbaric subhumans thugs aren't civilians, so they kept their weapons (because our police can't fight them because of what i'll say next) and continue to import high caliber weaponry from US and Paraguay (as you can see, customs house also suck). It lead to a huge spread of violence, because even lowlife thugs started to be armed and focusing their violence into the population, who no more could defend theirselves.

When the population is armed, they keep a balance of power, they don't become victims, but keepers of peace of stability, alongside with the police. When this balance was broken, the evil portion of society became stronger, targeting the civilian population, and next, the police. I think that in US, a gun-ban could be specially dangerous, because there's already a large number of weaponry in your country, and an equally large number of "poor" people ("poor" because our poor people is way worse) who lacks of desire for the rule of law enforcement and society stability. They would get the guns, target the middle class/civilian portion of american society, and it could become pretty bad, as the left would certaily push back the police action by calling out excessive violence, and also would put the violence's fault not in themselves, who pushed the gun-ban, but in the actual right-wing government, who couldn't provide safety for the people. And this allegation would surely pass to the general public People, with no hope in the actual government, would vote in a left candidate, but that, as you all know, would make everything worse. So, it's imparable that you guys fight against any possibility of a huge mass-lead campaign against the US 2nd Amendment.

You guys won the elections, but the leftist agenda is dangerous and strong in US, and these people could even stand up against the biggest of the powers, like what happened in French Revolution.

Thanks for sharing your insight and explaining how what happened Brazil could also happen here. Do you own anything for self-defense?

7 are murdered each hour in Brazil.
2 are murdered each hour in US.
In Brazil, there's a disarmament law in place.
In US, people are free to acquire a way to defend themselves and their family.
Before the disarmament law, 3,3 were killed each hour in Brazil.

Pretty much sums up the entire argument.

No, I wish i could. Civilians aren't allowed to carry weapons here, and is almost impossible to get a gun being a civilian (loads of bureaucracy to buy and possess a gun). I was born in a very dangerous place, but right now I live in a better place, with a strong german/austrian colonization, a way safer than the north of the country.

Who is the mostly violent in Brazil? Whites, Mixed-Races, Blacks, or Natives?

So this shooting happened in my town and the radio story i heard made it sound like it was in the middle of the day and there werent even any local crime reports but then i did my research and im kinda upset about the people blocking streets

I have a professor that claims Brazilian police are inhumane and should be dismantled/put on trial for crimes against humanity. She is from Brazil, caboclo. What did she mean by this?

thanks brazil user.

Young blacks. According to a study by the Ministry of Health I've read some time ago, more than 70% of the victims of homicide in Brazil are blacks, usually young black men. I make a correlation.

The majority of poor people is black > Crime absorbs poor people (blacks) in a greater rate > Young blacks who went to crime end up dead, killed by other factions or even the police.

Also, states with more blacks (northern states) are way more violent than white-majority states (southern states, that are richer).

One would assume it'd be niggers

i love asian girls so much

MEh I'll just say this. Pressure Cooker (between 50 and 100 dollars on amazon), Sulfur (2 pound bag about 20 dollars Amazon), Amonium Cloride (about 6 dollars for a 1 pound bag on Amazon), charcoal powder (20 bucks on Amazon), rock tumbler (50 bucks), ball bearings (1/2 inch 100 for 20 dollars amazon). Looking up the proper ratios for the above chemicals (free on the net).
Congrats, more destructive power with less waiting period for almost 400 dollars cheaper.
Hint: The ball bearings can be used for more destruction, just ask T. Kaczynski or the Brothers Tsarnaev.

She's biased. Brazilian police isn't bad because of excessive use of violence and murdering criminals, but because half of the corporation is unable to act as a police force who safekeeps the human life. And there's a lot of factors for that. Extremely low salary, using pistols against thugs with high caliber rifles and putting his own life at risk for a society that blames them for the violence, corruption in higher ranks, corruption in the entirety of the Executive branch, absurdity in the Judiciary branch, etc. Imagine yourself being a honorable young policeman, who just entered the police force, and want to do right. But your old partner is a corrupted man who deals with drug factions. Your higher rank officer is corrupted. Some politicians in your city are corrupted. The majority of the Executive branch is corrupted. What would you do? A lot of these honorable young police officers dirty themselves to survive. They lay low, help the society in the way they can, or if their moral breaks, are corrupted by the system. It's a structural problem that can be only solved with a extreme change of power. A revolution. A intervertion. Choose whatever name you want. And it doesn't only apply to the police. A lot of public arms of the state in Brazil are corrupted, and it will continue, until something change.

If I believe if something will indeed change? I am brazilian, I never lost hope. But others don't think like me. One, two, three man can't change the mindset of a entire country to make them fight for their own future, because almost the entire country lost their hope. And the worst thing that someone can take from you is your hope.

You would like the neighbourhood I was born. Biggest japanese community outside Japan. "Bairro da Liberdade".

Liberals are moving to Chicago in droves thanks to Drump's unsafe Red America! Meme it bois!

Jew on jew violence?

Nope, it's data.

ipea.gov.br/portal/images/170602_atlas_da_violencia_2017.pdf

as far as i know, the leadership in brazil are as white as the leaders of the rest of the western world, and you people like to talk about racism being ingrained on people... then maybe that affects race realtions in brazil? police are oppressive goons world wide and i bet the brazilian police are no less bigoted. so maybe you shoupd factor these thing in before you go around throwing out "data". i know these variables before even reading your link. your statistics dont factor in reality, rightard

Whiteness is bad, huh? How about you drink a nice tall glass of bleach

Thanks, I didn't know about Jair Bolsonaro, he sounds like /ourguy/.

always a safe assumption

if you think the brazilian police is white, you should eat even less potatoes

It's always good to be lectured about my own country by a foreigner I want you to tell me in what moment i was racist in this thread. Data hurts you so much? Brotip: People are free to be racist. But I know that liberals don't get the meaning of freedom. Do you think I don't studied slavery and it's consequences? Do you really think that i live in a bubble of whiteness and opression, being born and raised in Brazil? But let's go.

1. the leadership in brazil are as white as the leaders of the rest of the western world

So what? Have i stated the opposite in any moment?

2. and you people like to talk about racism being ingrained on people

I haven't talked about racism.

3. then maybe that affects race realtions in brazil?

They're bad, because the state enforces racism. I critical of the state, like i stated before.

4. police are oppressive goons world wide and i bet the brazilian police are no less bigoted

See 5. so maybe you shoupd factor these thing in before you go around throwing out "data". i know these variables before even reading your link. your statistics dont factor in reality, rightard

Wow, you're sure enlightened. But data is data, whatever sociology bullshit you spew at me. Your feelings can't change reality.

My mom is thinking about going on work trip to Brazil and I'm trying to talk her out of it. Can you anons possibly feed me some info on the incredible shittiness of Brazil and it's dangers if you happen to have that available?

If she's going to a blue state, it's fine. Otherwise, criminality rate in the red states is high.

Thanks, I know I shouldn't be asking and should be researching on my own. I am, but it's nice to get some starting points and know where to go.
She'll have armed security, but my view is won't that mark her out as a potential target if anything? Also, would kidnapping be a potential thing? That sounds dumb, but I mean I figure any organized gangs in that racket would avoid politically affiliated people as governments may not ransom at all, and tourists being safe since there's no guarantee of payment there either, but with a multinational corp, they might see the company as being more likely to pay than others.

dont follow his dumb map, look at actual data

he literally said its ok to go to a state with 29.8 murders/100k inhabitants but not to one with 31.2

I don't think leafs will think this small difference is so reassuring

better map

If she will be escorted, then there'll be no problem in any place. Kidnapping? I doubt. She's going to be safe as long as she's accompanied. Overwall, violence in the cities is very localized. If she's in a business trip, she'll certainly stay around the business centers and her hotel, so I really think that everything will be fine.

Indeed, your map is better.

What happens in Brazil besides ass, jiu jitsu, coke, and robbings?

attempt at a gradient map

Because people suddenly feel extremely boring then start to kill each other.

less colors

Attached: qiortj[1].png (600x600, 82K)

The Civil War that would ensue would kill millions.
Try to confiscate guns and then you will really see violence.

But what if gun laws are broken and people obtain guns illegally? Such as pointed out.
