Have a conversation with one. Throw in some keywords that are irrelevant to the topic, and you'll get a reply within a minute. There are certain keywords and phrases you can use to trigger a response. It has to be on topic, but you can trick them by throwing nonsensical Sup Forums approved current events / firearms / conspiracy theories into your post. It doesn't even have to be comprehensible. You can lace your post with these triggers and you will undoubtedly get a response, even if your post is incoherent. If you're wondering why Sup Forums has been pissing you off lately because every thread / post is pushing your buttons, this is why. They're learning.

I've noticed other things like this. I've been suspicious this is a testing ground for AI bots.
Many posts seem to have suspicious misspellings that are oddly consistent. My theory is that these are built into the software to make it appear like it's human.
Typically the misspellings are one letter off. But the threads seem to appear in waves.
There is no doubt that human-interaction bots (not sure i'd call the programs "AI") are far more advanced than what is commercially advertised.
Also, people should stop focusing on "slide threads" or shills for one topic. Psychological warfare is often designed to waste your time or probe your responses. Much more complicated than just "sliding."
