Concerning eggs, the color difference is due to diet/general health of the hens, and the age of the eggs. Most store-bought eggs can be months old before the consumer gets to them. I keep chickens and the yolks are almost orange.

the coloring has to do with phosphorus and how it develops. You can generally overcook an egg and if you shock it in ice water it will help avoid the grey coloring.

It's the hydrogen in the protein of the egg white (albumen) reacting with the sulfur in the yolk. It's what makes eggs smell when they rot.

Problem is that GMOs aren't used to improve the product but rather to reduce cost, typically while slightly reducing product quality. For example, fruits that never ripen, but can stay on shelves for months rather than weeks. Very large yields of tasteless vegetables. Or taste-enhanced, nutrient-poor crops.
Typically it's of course designed so there is little loss and large gains, relative to the properties the company is interested in. In particular, every GMO crop is impossible to grow without the GMO company's proprietary fertilizer. Needless to say, this completely controls the kind of nutrition the plant gets, and how it gets it, but this makes tons of money for the GMO company.
The next problem is that if you repeat this small reduction in quality for big (money-wise) gains, you end up, after several generations, with trash-quality products, but due to the continuous compounding reduction in quality, the sheeple don't really notice.
GMOs in and of themselves are not to blame, but how they're designed and those who create them definitely are, such that it is in fact very beneficial to avoid GMOs.

If you don't boil your eggs just enough to solidify the egg white, you should kill yourself.

The yolk has many fragile nutrients and is great for your health. Dietary cholesterol is a meme (unless it's fried, because it gets oxidized).

The difference is left egg was cooked at a simmer for 12 minutes and cooled immediately in ice water bath.
Right egg was in a rolling boil for about 15 minutes and left to cool at room temperature.

Humans could become extinct if sperm counts in men continue to fall at current rates, a doctor has warned.

Researchers assessing the results of nearly 200 studies say sperm counts among men from North America, Europe, Australia, and New Zealand, seem to have halved in less than 40 years.

Some experts are sceptical of the Human Reproduction Update findings.

But lead researcher Dr Hagai Levine said he was "very worried" about what might happen in the future.

The assessment, one of the largest ever undertaken, brings together the results of 185 studies between 1973 and 2011.

Dr Levine, an epidemiologist, told the BBC that if the trend continued humans would become extinct.
Decline rate 'increasing'

"If we will not change the ways that we are living and the environment and the chemicals that we are exposed to, I am very worried about what will happen in the future," he said.

"Eventually we may have a problem, and with reproduction in general, and it may be the extinction of the human species."

Scientists not involved in the study have praised the quality of the research but say that it may be premature to come to such a conclusion.

Dr Levine, from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, found a 52.4% decline in sperm concentration, and a 59.3% decline in total sperm count in men from North America, Europe, Australia and New Zealand.

The study also indicates the rate of decline among men living in these countries is continuing and possibly even increasing.

Unless you're allergic there's nothing wrong with soy. It's in everything because it's a cheap and plentiful emulsifier.

GMO's exist to increase the yield in the food industry thus increasing productivity for businesses in the sector. That's it, that's why GMO's were originally used. Think they are still used for that today, although many studies have shown that they increase the likelihood of certain cancers.
