Shokugeki no Soma

>4th best selling WSJ manga in 2017
>9th best selling manga overall in 2017
>despite the total disaster that is Azami arc
How?

They realized their mistake early and fixed it, also Erina-sama is instant recovery from anything.

Erina's development is one of my favorite aspects of the manga. And based on rankings whenever she gets screentime, Nips think so too. Which means MORE ERINA

>MORE ERINA
No while Tsukuda is still around, enjoy getting more Souma instead.

I agree.

When the Azami disaster struck, I too thought of dropping it. Erina's character development is saving it, and it is supported by her winning the third favorite character poll.

More Erina?
You'd like that, wouldn't you?

A bunch of people in Sup Forums calling an arc about fighting the strongest people in the school in a manga about cooking fights a piece of shit because their waifus don't have more screentime and it isn't "comfy" doesn't actually mean it's shit

Erina.

So how will JC Staff bring this in?

Bought this bad boy for a whopping 20k anime bucks. Gonna get it scanned when I recieve it

>How?

Nudity

>20k anime bucks
Assuming you mean yen, that's about $200 USD. What the fuck?

Yeah, I hate myself. But they usually go for atleast 15k since you had to buy all volumes to get it.

Shokugeki no Soma is flopping. It's not even best seller top 50 in volume. Probably flopped because they keep fucking over their best girl Megumi. Next time, don't make your main girl lose, retard author and you could sell some manga.

user... BLESS YOUR SOUL!! Thank you for the early Christmas present when you get it scanned.

Already got this one that I most likely will upload at the same time.

What exactly are these anyway?

The reason it's flopping is because nips don't like the current state of the manga involving Azami.

Megumi is gonna make such a cute wife for Soma

Do you have the Soma scan where he's in bed also?

The Azami arc started with chapter 132. It took until chapter 206 for the Regimental Shokugeki to start. That's 74 chapters of fillers with almost no relevance. The only highlights were the battle with Eizan (with bribed judges which was bullshit and Eizan didn't even cook at full potential, so it was mute as well), battle with Tsukasa (which also resulted in nothing) and some character development for Hayama (which only got him back on track). The first 74 chapters brought the manga all the way to the height of the Autumn Election arc, while these 74 chapters did nothing.
All this for an evil villian which a cooking manga has no need for. It's supposed to be about cooking and not how evil some guy is. It's nothing but annoying.
And now the fights against the elite 10, which were supposed to be the final highlights of the manga, get rushed over in the fastest possible way.

tl;dr: It's not about waifus, it's about 74 chapters of nothing.

Not really, he's gay.

Magazine read by children

Tosh art is literally the only thing carrying this mange despite the author crappy decisions on this whole arc. The author lucked out on being paired with Tosh otherwise this series would of been canned a long time ago.

...

Boxes for the Blu-ray cases.
I also got these post cards. There are some more I'll try to get.

No, sorry.

Kek, so this is what megumifags believe?

>The author lucked out on being paired with Tosh
He wasn't granted Tosh. Tosh is the reason this manga exist since he gave the idea to Tsukuda of working together on making a series about girls experiencing ecstasy eating food.

Thanks user.

Delicious boys + Tosh = never having to say you're sorry.

>about girls experiencing ecstasy eating food.

Who would have thought that he would end up making hotter boys.

In those 74 chapters we had.

>Azami and Central's debut.
>Learning Erina's past.
>Soma finally beating an Elite 10 member straight up.
>Erina and Azami learning the relationship between Jou and Soma.
>Central's ultimate goal
>Erina and Soma reconciling.
>Jou's backstory with Gin and Azami
>Soma and co. Facing the Elite 10 directly and understanding their motivation for joining Central.

I know it's been a slog, but I'd hardly call that nothing.

I'm glad the series is still doing well despite the issues, and that most of the complaints are just an extremely loud vocal minority.

I want to lick Takumi's belly.

Despite all this, the author doesn't regret or you can't say "this was a mistake" in regards to Azami happening because in the narrative, this was how the story was flowing to since the start of the series. The author didn't just came up with Azami and Erina's character midway through the story. He just had his own way for how he would deal with them and carry the story.

Because he planned to fuck the story up from the very beginning it's not a mistake?

Why didn't the anime include the reveal that Saiba is Somas father?

Because they are shit and would probably shoehorn it in some place it doesn't even make sense.

Because that was a terrible time to deliver that piece of information. It had no impact and felt unsatisfying after all this time. They feel like they can do better in the anime. Or so I hope.

Azami crashing their victory party plus the reveal was great.

Comments like these make me feel like people are upset less because of a perceived decline in quality, and more because the series became something else beyond stripping girls with food.

Not that I don't agree with a lot criticisms towards this whole thing, but did people really just expect things to stay the same all of the time?

This kind of development was inevitable to happen so it wasn't a mistake since it wasn't like the author somewhat had doubts planning and then writing this.

I wonder how too because I can't stand this current never ending tourney arc, it honestly feels like it's dragged on for far too long with no end in sight.

Him crashing the party was fun, yes. But the impact that reveal had on Erina was literally 3 pages. Nothing came of it. Well, I guess they can't fix that in the anime either.

But it hasn't changed. If you so will it's still stripping girls with food. It's still about cooking. But we get all this bullshit with Central and how evil Azami shoved into our faces. Who cares about that? The Azami arc has been like 80% establishing how unfair everything is now and how 'our heroes' now have to fight uphill battles against pure evil for the greater good and 20% about Erina's upbringing and Azami's relationship with Saiba. This was the worst possible execution.
When someone makes a decision/plans and they turn out bad, we call that a mistake.

Why did we need a big bad anyway? This series felt like a sports manga, so all that was needed were more rivals. The Elite 10 were set up as the end game in the begining, and just as Souma was starting to challenge them Erina's dad showed up and derailed everything.

>a perceived decline in quality
it is a decline in quality, though. even assuming people are wrong about why it happened, it still happened

>The Elite 10 were set up as the end game in the begining
Nope. The elite 10 is more so a stepping stone for Soma, not endgames he has to defeat before the series end. Also, the third years aren't gonna stick for that long since they'll leave the academy during Soma's second year so do you expect Soma to defeat all third years in his first year?

STOP
MAKING
TOURNAMENT ARCS

seriously, even the author must be getting tired of this shit. if the B.L.U.E tournament is just as long as this one is then there's no way in hell i'm reading it

...

just recently caught up on the anime, havent read the manga. doesnt surprise me in the least that azami sent the series downhill

It's more so the pacing.

This series will never be as comfy or good as it was in the beginning. Early SnS was so much fun to read.

Stagiaire arc was the last time I found this series enjoyable.

>But it hasn't changed. If you so will it's still stripping girls with food. It's still about cooking. But we get all this bullshit with Central and how evil Azami shoved into our faces. Who cares about that?

Regardless of how we personally feel, this is the story that Tsukada intended to write. You don't have to agree with it, and I agree on some of it's execution, but it's presumptuous, to me, to say a series has gone downhill when it takes a direction that you don't agree with.

>This was the worst possible execution.
Then how would you have preferred things to play out?

Its really not as drastic as everyone seems to be implying because otherwise it wouldn't be in the top 10 consistently. Keep in mind this has been going on for over 2 years (Jesus...) And the lowest it ever got was the Hayama match, which everyone agreed wasn't very good.

Otherwise nothing implies the series is doing as badly as they think it is.

Fujos are a growing market, plus Tosh got married that's kinda why he even went away from porn.

What is with the influx of fags lately saying that because the author intended for it to become shit we aren't allowed call it shit?

>if the B.L.U.E tournament is just as long as this one is then there's no way in hell i'm reading it
I'm so glad this manga isn't monthly.

Do you have a full, cleaned version of this without any watermarks?

>fags
>plural

By far the best Erina dakimakura

The central arc.
The survivor hunt.
The promotion exams.
The RdC.

>How?
Erina's tits.

Erina

No. I could've gotten it cheap before, but since it's one sided, I passed.

Tits are becoming more and more small as time pass.

It will not be as hype. JC Staff will not deliver so don't have high expectations.

>Erina-sama is instant recovery from anything.
How was she cured?

>Azami
When will this fuck get killed off?

I haven't been keeping up with this for a while, but has Tosh's art gotten worse?

They're directly proportional to the series quality

Official genderbent art when?

Tosh.

Cant do, (Ta)Kumiko would be in far too much danger.

I gotcha.

Eugenic babies when

I'm amazed an ecchi series made it in the top 10. Most ecchi series never sell decent yet Shokugeki no Soma managed to barely come on top of the pedestal with all these high regarded action, super natural series. Not to mention, it came on top by itself without famous people recommending it or high advertisement and such like most other series from the list. Let's see if it'll manage to stay in the top 10 again next year.

It already exists, and he turned to be a smug smooth mothefucker.

Where are the mandibles!!? This design concept is TRASH!

Mandibles would look dumb on edgy kids.

Mandibles look cute/ cool on anyone

I would like to marry Saito.

>tfw your mom and dad want you to be a chef but you want to be a terrorist instead.

>people think Erina is the reason why this manga was popular

Nope. Megumi was the sole reason why this manga got it's popularity. Don't try to deny it, waifufags. Once Souma challenged Shinomiya to keep Megumi, the manga blew up in popularity.

Food

No one said Erina was the reason this manga became popular. People are saying Erina is how this series is staying fairy consistent in sales and such. Pretty much saving the series from being axed because most people now love her and because of that, this manga is doing decent despite the current arcs doing badly. And yes the Shino stuff with Megumi was how this series grabbed it's popularity but that doesn't imply Megumi herself is the reason all manga sales are good. It just made her even popular and how people began to officially ship her and Soma.

>Deluded Megumifags actually believe this

kek

Dumb Megumifag

Just don't reply

Its TOC rankings aren't even that bad when you look at the big picture
Haters gonna hate

Is everything in black and white already cancelled?

People just can't stand the fact the series isn't dying like they want it to because it's not "COMFY" anymore. Has it lost popularity? Absolutely. Is it in danger of being cancelled? Hell no. If the series were to end soon, it'd because of the author himself wanting to end it.

I kinda want Shokugeki to fail if it means Tosh can draw hentai manga again.

Even if it gets axed he will not come back.

He'll never draw Hentai again.

Tosh wouldn't draw porn even when this series end. He's married and he might have another serialization with his own manga or draw someone elses manga for cash.

...

>handholding
SPOILER THAT SHIT

I want to see them officially hold hands in the canon series. Not from a anime opening.

To be fair you don't count OP or Macadamia in rankings. Sort of like when the Big 3 were at their prime you just sort of wrote off the top 3 spots since no one was touching them.

Whose hand is that
