Can some Christfags explain the appeal of heaven to me?
> no pain
> no suffering
> no conflict
> For all eternity
What is the attraction to this? For those of us not living in third world shit holes. We pretty much already live a relatively painless life. I just can't grasp why one would want to exist for eternity where everything is perfect. Is it because of original sin that I can't find this favorable?
>inb4 I don't believe in God
I do believe in God but there are things I don't understand.

What is the appeal of heaven?
religion is crowd control. get over it
>an eternity of anything has got to be hell
They think they can be occupied by merely living with God for eternity, not realizing that struggle gives humans 100% of our reason to exist.
Paradise is the antithesis to life.
This, exactly.
It's enjoying the presence of God for eternity.
Suppose for a moment your soul is eternal and there's no changing that. Would you rather eternity in heaven or eternity out of heaven?
see that makes sense but then its not really a choice of me wanting to be with God but not wanting to go to hell.
>The End (died)
>wake up in a coffin with something pulled over ur eyes
>hear someone open the coffin.
>pulls VR system from ur face
>u look up
>its god
>tells u u past the test.
>you can go to heaven
>you cheer!
>god looks with confused face
>you ask him why he is confussed
>tells you only weak pussies go to heaven
>tells you he is looking for bad ass evil man to fight with him in his war
Back from the dead user here. Died in 2014, still here.
It is freedom like you never knew, can't imagine.
A Christian reformation is coming. You'll see. Don't lose faith. It's totally worth the strugggle.
Some day a reformation in the Christian church may strike deep enough to get back to the unadulterated religious teachings of Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith. You may preach a religion about Jesus, but, perforce, you must live the religion of Jesus. In the enthusiasm of Pentecost, Peter unintentionally inaugurated a new religion, the religion of the risen and glorified Christ. The Apostle Paul later on transformed this new gospel into Christianity, a religion embodying his own theologic views and portraying his own personal experience with the Jesus of the Damascus road. The gospel of the kingdom is founded on the personal religious experience of the Jesus of Galilee; Christianity is founded almost exclusively on the personal religious experience of the Apostle Paul. Almost the whole of the New Testament is devoted, not to the portrayal of the significant and inspiring religious life of Jesus, but to a discussion of Paul's religious experience and to a portrayal of his personal religious convictions. The only notable exceptions to this statement, aside from certain parts of Matthew, Mark, and Luke, are the Book of Hebrews and the Epistle of James. Even Peter, in his writing, only once reverted to the personal religious life of his Master. The New Testament is a superb Christian document, but it is only meagerly Jesusonian.
Things happen in heaven, it's just that everyone gets along and has fun doing the things they like to do forever and there is no sin. Basically, get goodboy points and play vidya forever or whatever you like to do. Go out for ice cream, take a walk, explore another planet, whatever. It's endless and a perfect paradise for those who want to lead pure lives.
>Would you rather eternity in heaven or eternity out of heaven?
Outside. Apathy is hell. Boredom is hell. What challenge is there in a heaven?
arent you supposed to have pain and suffering to counteract joy though?
im sure all the happniess would make the mind go dull
Is there not suffering in the exercise of exploring a universe created just for you to explore? Again, you create your own happiness, even if it's playing on a sports team . The only stipulation is that there is no sin.

Stop seeing heaven as a material place.
You, me, anyone, we can't imagine heaven
so basically in life you abstain from sinful acts to go to heaven and do the things you abstained from without the sin? So I could be a serial killer in heaven?
No, because that would be sinful. I think you're not quite getting the concept here.
That's just an example, user. It's whatever you like to do that harms none and breaks no commandments.
>Ultimate redpill
>To pass the test of life, you have to build, dominate and decimate
In all cultures the sky represents the immaterial. Thoughts, dreams and non material properties of the world like math. When your physical body dies you revert to your non material eternal form that existed before time in the mind of God. We become a part of God again "as angels". There's also the non material version of you that's maintained by your influence on society, your "spirit". That part of you can either live forever or be destroyed.
heaven is not a place but a state of being that you are translated to after your body ceases to function. the afterlife is basically one long orgasm. but better.
I've reached the conclusion that i wouldn't want to go to heaven as i perceive of it even if i could and thats not to say i would rather go to hell but rather gone, or in limbo even. If i was in heaven and cleansed of all my negative emotions what the fuck would i even be? I'd be turned into a drone, no one would be themselves anymore regardless. Idk about the rest of my Sup Forums faggots but the adults in "darling in the frankxxx" are fucking pitiful, it's no existence to desire.
God is pure actuality so it is hard to grasp what heaven will be like. I imagine that, in heaven, you can experience new things, or see the truth of the world, or live thru old experiences as if u plugged into the matrix and relived em. I plan to go to the Dune universe and see all of it. From the butlerian jihad on to Muad dib and then to the God Emperor.
i wouldn't mind, like, an extreme 10/10 orgasm that lasts for eternity
If its Gods divine realm, and he has absolute creative freedom, it is easy to imagine that it is everythin we could have ever wanted, without even knowing it.
No pain means we are content and no longer human.
Maybe you don't have a lot of physically painful stuff going on in first world countries, but the mental anguish is real.
>Can some Christfags explain the appeal of heaven to me?

no women. Eve eternally btfo the roasties.
I know the pic isn't related but goddamn is it nice.
Bomberman needs more love.
>neet life for all eternity
>new books and movies by long-dead greats
>anime is real
>video games untainted by sjw faggotry
>cows go to heaven, so you have steak every day
Yeah man, I can't imagine the horror.
Sounds comfy
Why the fuck would anyone want to struggle and endure the unbearble pain and horrors of existence when you can spend an eternity chilling with god?
And yet issues relating to mental and spiritual health are in abundance in the western world. People feel incomplete, that there is still something missing, even with the world at their fingertips. While all of those things you listed are nice, you've also hit on what's important: without God, those things can lose their luster. It's also why Christianizing the social order of Niebuhr, or a social gospel focus from the likes of Rauschenbusch, will ultimately fall apart; it discounts the importance of God and magnifies the importance of man and culture.
The peace of heaven doesn't come from being provided for, it comes from the presence of God.
because theres no sin there retard
