The Soul Society is over a million years old, Urahara lost his eyes, fullbrings, some of the quincy including the tranny are still alive and then there's Hueco Mundo and Aizen, that fucker is still planning shit.

No, the steep decline in part 2 of the final arc is due to Kubo's rapidly deteriorating health.
A one shot seems like a good idea for Kubo. He was always best at the early stuff, it was once it kept going for a while his series would spin out of control.
