At school I was told I will get detention, and if I counter back and hurt the abusers, my parents would go to jail for it.
The abusers were such cunts that one day they made up a lie that I beat up some kid when none of us were there and professors ate it up.
In the end whatever I did I was responsible and the amount of humiliation and anger would boil for next 8 years after finishing school.
Needless to say I've heard 5 people of my ex school now are dead from gang relates crimes.
