Everywhere I go in America, I keep hearing stuff about Putin being a dictator, megalomaniac, etc. I read stuff on how he needs to be punished for his actions and cares for nothing but power. Is this just liberal propaganda?
So I ask you, Russianons: Is Putin as bad as the west say he is, or is he doing his job that he should be doing as Russian President: Protecting and pursuing the interests of the Russian people? Please explain your answers as the more elaboration, the better.
Russianons, redpill me on Putin

>Everywhere I go in America
Where the fuck have you been going?
Putin saved democracy from Hillary's election fraud. We owe him a debt of thanks.
I’m an American and more or less uneducated on the matter but my dad went to Harvard and studied national security and when we talk about Putin he tells me he is a realist leader that favors the expansion of Russian power and dominance, especially in Eastern Europe, rather than focusing of Russian individuals. Although, Russian individuals might be better off with this strategy.
I understand this is very brief and probably up to some debate but I think this is a decent gist of Putin.
Also I don’t think Putin has done anything that Hillary or corrupt politicians in the west haven’t or would think about doing. And considering It is her kind of ideology and its cronies that criticize putin I find most of it to be just hypocritical propaganda dribble.
Should probably elaborate, I live in the tri-state area, and have been to the following states:
Texas
California
North and South Carolina
Hawaii
Florida
Hm, alright. Thanks for the input at least.
I'll be a bait
>Is this just liberal propaganda?
yes

no

yes

Just watch his interviews, his speeches, preferably from sources like RT (though even official live translations sometimes make mistakes or don't perfectly translate).
There's a 4-hour interview with Oliver Stone that you can get from torrents. You will understand his mind better. But this takes some effort and attention span or interest that most people don't seem to have.
Which tri-state area? Everywhere three states meet is called that.
It was rhetorical anyway. It's not location based, but the company you keep. Are you hanging out with media pundits or something?
Here, have a meme.
>Is this just liberal propaganda?
No it is pedos who are scared of Putin and idiots who don't know that is the reason behind the narrative. There is a more nuanced discussion about Russia being given 100 years to abandon Orthodoxy and rejoin the Church, but our pedoelite care about Putin giving pedos the bullet. This is why they push the russia collusion narrative. They are unable to fathom that two people, Putin and Trump, can have the same hatred of pedos without collusion.
>Protecting and pursuing the interests of the Russian people
"expansion in eastern europe"
He cares greatly about Ukraine. If you'd know the history, the cultural, historical and economic links, you'd understand why. It doesn't mean he wants to attach Ukraine to Russia. He wants it to be in the same economic zone. And this is in the interest of Russia and Russians.
New York.
I'm currently stuck in the college trap. So I guess I'm just surrounded by Liberals. Also meme made me giggle.
>implying your denomination is "orthodox" for more than slavs and greeks
Ivan, please.
source is that I listen to Putin's speeches. He can't not talk about the western pedoelites it seems. Every time there is an opening to do so, he brings it up. Amerimutts are retards who won't listen to a translated speech because Putin should be speaking American damn it!
Yeesh. I'm in California, I was in college in 2016, graduated now, but I rarely ran into people who didn't realize that Hillary rigged it against Bernie, and Putin saved us from her rigging the general election.
I am in agreement with this. Remember, there was no Russian issue until the US and it's lackeys got involved in Ukraine. After the overthrow of a democratically elected president for a Western lapdog who interestingly sent Ukrainian treasure out of the country for IMF collateral, Putin moved to protect Russian interests in Crimea as in the entire fucking Black Sea fleet. Russia begins to take on the persona of the boogeyman and is behind everything, including "collusion" (whatever the fuck that's supposed to be) in the election.
It's propaganda. We do the same shit. Fuck the media and fuck the "muh Russia" faggots.
It's subjective and relative, could've been worse and furthermore, we shouldn't put it out of the context - Dutch disease (dependence on oil\gas incomes), post-Versailles syndrome, unfair privatization in 90s, marginalization and decay of working class, etc. - Russia was in a very deep shit in 90s
And then group of people came of St. Petersburg:
- from administration of ex-mayor Sobchak
- from dacha cooperative Ozero
- from St. Petersburg KGB
- from Sambo classes of Putin
etc.
You can read full list of those people in Russian with google translate for example on jewpedia - ru.wikipedia.org
This group took over power and installed soft authoritarism, it's not utopia, but could've been worse. They probably believe they are doing good thing for Russia.
The Russians have an eternal victim complex and they want a big strong man to tell them how tough they are. This complex comes the fact they are callous and prickly, with a streak for violence and dominance to compensate the fact their country is empty and geographically unappealing.
They are all descended from serfs and this mentality has never left their genetic make-up. In essence this is the same story in every country, but for some reason Putin can't even throw the same bone to his people the West does to its own.
The fact that he is propped up and supports the oligarchs that drained the country dry doesn't matter because RUSSIA STRONG or something.
They engage in this sort of "realpolitik" agenda where they basically annoy everyone else to pretend they have influence, relying on the fact that everyone else is now too civilised to risk engaging actual conflict with a foe too stupid and proud to lie down and take a beating without making the whole thing pointless.
You have the macho mentality of black african slaves, the victim complex of jews, and the utter dishonesty of roma gypsies, all combined together into a full nation. They fell for the communism meme, were scammed out of all their wealth by crafty con artists, and are so gullible they can have that aggression channelled at their "enemies" by their previous oppressor's secret police leader when their problems are all internal.
Russia is that kid at school who's a cunt to everyone, and it's because of a bad childhood that's not really their fault, but at the same time they're now old enough to realise they should probably grow up and get along. If you tell them this they just call you a pussy but fail to notice the disgusted faces everyone else has.
some facts for those who are interested
Crimea is not about it being the HQ of USSR's and Russia's Black Sea Fleet.
>First, it's about strategic location. Whoever controls it, controls the Black Sea.
>Second, it's about the people there. Almost everybody there is a native Russian speaker and over half are ethnic Russians. Therefore it's logical to assume that during a referendum the majority would vote to reunite with Russia, who is better of in terms of economy than Ukraine.
>It's also helpful to know some important facts about Crimea. Basically it was a correction of the mistake (Crimea even had their own president, Ukraine removed the post in 90s, the referendum there after USSR's collapse in early 90s, etc.).
Basically, if Putin wouldn't make the move, there would be NATO's ships there, not Russia's. Because after orange revolution in 2005 in Ukraine (basically western interference), the pro-western gov came to power. In 2007, they told Russia to fuck off from Crimea with its Black Sea Fleet by 2017 that Russia was leasing. In 2010, somewhat pro-Russian leader came to power and he let Russia lease the territory for 20+ years in exchange for gas discount, as well as Russia being allowed to have up to 25k soldiers in Crimea (don't know about the amount before that). The new pro-west gov that came to power after the coup in 2014 would annul the deal no doubt and Crimea would have been lost.
Either way, Crimea wouldn't have been reunited with Russia so soon if it wasn't for west's coup.
I also don't agree that there wasn't "Russian issue" before Crimea. There was. There was Magnitsky act of 2012 (and the law that it replaced). There were Pussy Riot on CNN every day. In 2013 is where it got hot: Snowden, Obama's red line in Syria (chem attack provocation; Russia defending Syria politically and who knows how behind political curtains), law against LGBT propaganda among minors (although this wasn't really an issue for the west, just a pretext...
