Renting a fucking trailer in my area costs 850-1k

firsrt worldism means no welfare for the useless

move outside the city retard. the US has tons of land and you idiots decide to live within 50 miles from downtown

netherlands has minimum wage?

Average
Minimum

>minimum wage
>minimum rent

Live within your means. Once you get that promotion, you'll be able to save up to move to a nicer place.

I live in a city of 30k
The nearest city of over 100k is fifty miles away

And what's the average salary in the US?

>average rent on minimum wage
>not splitting rent with Roomate/spouse

Kill yourself

Minimum wage doesn't get you average housing

i live next houston. my mortgage on a 1 acre 2 bedroom 1 1/2 bathroom is way below that of a rental. I've driven across the US. it's a big fucking flat nothing but instead of living spread out we cram 2M+ into a sardine can and cry why is everything so expensive

If a family can't produce 5k a month they don't deserve a place to live for being useless shitbags. I was making 5k a month when I was 20. Not even going to touch on how fucking retarded that rent number is.

>tfw worked summers during highschool on a fishing boat
>made 50k
>bought 5 acres, built a house with my friends(were all tradesmen)
>charge $200 rent to 3 of my best friends
>we all have different trades and work together to get contracts
>were about to start an entire home building business
>were already clearing 100k each a year with what were doing now
>hardly any bills and shitloads of money
>at this point were all wealthy so our primary concern now is hiring top talent for working and making proper investments with our liquid assets
>im 26, financially stable and have passive income for the rest of my life
>all of my friends do to

Be less dumb, make good friends, create a fucking empire

No one here lives on the street. We don't have one homeless person where I live and only one black family. Not my fault stupid kids want to pay $1,800 for rent (not including utilities, transportation and food) to live in a broom closet in L.A.

>1234
seems legit

You must suck a lot of dicks to make 5k a month!

Coasties

>less than a quarter of income
What millenial bullshit is this? Is this based on needing 40% of your income to eat at shitty hipster restaurants 6 times a week and other trivial bullshit?

Great cost saving plan
I'll live in Missouri and work in NYC and just fly to and from my house every day

O.P. is only trolling you, you know. Stop feeding him.

Stop living on the coasts and you'll be fine. My rent is only 400 a month.

>tfw 2400 usd a month before taxes

The average salary for someone in the us was 44500 last year. At 25% of your income that's 927$ for housing.

>retard living in new york and complaining why it cost so much

>average expenses
>minimal wage
What gives.

>averaging big city rent with small town USA rent
The absolute state of our education system

>expecting an average life on minimum wage
Sorry, either live with roommates or get a job doing something other than flipping burgers.

I make 1400$ per month and have saved 10k$ over the past 5 years. Anyone who says it's hard is lying or ignorant.

>oh look this thread with the same exact OP
>again
you must be a nigger because only niggers are this lazy

I make $1,100/mo and pay $470 in rent. I would have a lot of cash if I didn't waste it on stupid shit. I live comfortably as-is. Anyone who can't make $1k/mo is a useless bag of shit.

e.g. where actual jobs and GDP are generated. feels good to have a 6 figure income, multiple homes + recession proof real estate market, thanks to not living in a landlocked shithole full of learned helplessness conservacucks!

You are aware you can have a job and not live in a city right? Cities aren't some magic place where jobs grow on the tops of skyscrapers, their over priced housing schemes owned and operated by jews and sold to trust fundies as a "convenient way to live."

Meanwhile I'm out in the suburbs, owning a house, farming my own food, and living within biking distance of my office. You do get to choose where you live and work.

In those kind of arguments, medians are better indicatives than averages.

GUYS GUYS GUYS

>Rent prices across the country average about $1,231 each month, but the median rents in these more affordable places are about half that.

cbsnews.com/media/top-10-cheapest-us-cities-to-rent-an-apartment/

The average rent is only so high because penthouses and shit like that spike up the price. In reality, it is far less.

Yeah but now you'll always be that guy who was too dumb for university. Sure you have money to cope with your mediocre IQ, but at the end of the day you lived the life of an insect, not an intelligent man.

That $30.77/hour calculation is an average, not a minimum. System working as intended.

>he doesnt know that success is driven by IQ outside of being a puppet for jews

If you get minimum wage you should go for the minimum rent not the average

People actually making minimum wage don't live in places where they pay 1200 monthly in rent, sorry sweetie. They mostly pay 500-700 for apartments or they live with a SO/family.

Anyways most people don't even MAKE minimum wage, most jobs hire for more than the minimum and after 3,6,12 months you get raises even. If you're still stuck making the same amount something is seriously wrong with the place you're employed at. Mcdonalds gives you raises, the people complaining are probably job hopping niggers that don't even stay with a company long enough to have their new hire paper work done. It's the only explanation.

Share the rent cost with a room mate, there problem solved.

Ah, the low IQ cope

I'm a Europoor and did the math for an exchange semester in the US. I could live cheaper in the US than hear. I thought autists were supposed to be better at analysis

>average
>not median
This includes the outliers in NYC, San Fran., etc. Terrible metric of how to nationally view this things.

You really can't effectively do a national average for anything in the U.S. we're a lot like the E.U. in that regard. The conditions State to State can vary greatly. Not too long ago California was the best at everything. Now it's a dead last shithole. I live in the middle. Medium wages, medium cost of living, medium taxes, medium services. It gives you some extra money but not at the cost of living in a shithole state.

It doesnt matter what your profession is. If you're low IQ you will not do better than the someone with a high IQ doing the same job. Fact.

>The average IQ is 100
>why are retards running the country

Plus, it certainly includes full homes, something someone earning minimum wage should not be renting. More expensive areas will also have higher wages.

When I lived in Chicago (so glad to be out of that shithole) I rented a 3 bedroom townhouse for 1300. Pretty sure if you removed San Fran, LA, and NYC those prices shoot through the floor.

Also sick of hearing the "oh well I make 6 figures living in (one of the aforementioned cities)". Leaving out locality inflation from COL in that area. 100k goes a VERY long way even in major cities. Just not world cities like the aforementioned.

TLDR: Stop living in NYC SF or LA.

>AVERAGE rent
>MINIMUM wage
it writes itself

Why would people making the smallest amount of money legally possible be trying to rent a residence befitting the 50th percentile? Wouldn’t it be logical to compare the minimum wage with the cheapest housing in the area?

Just do what I do for a living. I buy houses and charge 1200 a month to live in them. Problem solved!

Did the math myself. I found I could live with a net budget of $550 a month with a small, single-story house to myself, 3 streets away from the factory where I wanted to make my internship (before I changed my mind and found a better thing in Europe)

American gen-whatevers (I'll collectively refer to them as entitled cunts, so that no one feels excluded) don't understand their own capitalism: if you're a poorfag, you don't get to live in Manhattan or LA, period. There's plenty of stuff to do in the Midwest, Wisconsin, Kansas, etc. MOVE!

>he thinks $1000 rent equates to luxury in jew york

oh if only you knew how bad things really are..

>working for minimum wage
>allowing rich immigrants in while devaluing the labor market

Why is the rent in the US so explosive? Don't you have a bunch of free space to build Apartments?

Not my problem.

I make $25/hr and will make over $30/hr here very soon.

Grew up poor in the south too, so you people have no fucking excuse in my book.

>average
where?
new York California Hawaii and Oregon?
probably going by per Capita which is not at all the average for states just average for retard city dwellers

>WHY CAN'T I AFFORD AVERAGE RENT WITH MINIMUM WAGE, REEEEE

Shamefully, our social programs prop up individuals who should otherwise be dead (and thus, not on the streets anymore).

>retards paying $5000 a month to rent a broom closet in a crack house in San Francisco because it's only 20 feet from a starbucks vs 50 feet
>these same people complain about rent

Using average not median. Pleb

1 2 3 4 I declare a trade war

The problem with genocide is the perception that it wouldn't fix all of our issues... but the truth is, REAL genocide has never been tried.

You can't afford average rent with an average wage either retard

If you are making minimum wage it means you are supposed to work two or even three jobs.

Median income here is about 55k, you should be able to pretty reasonably afford a 1200 a month apartment, if a nice apartment is your priority...

Looking at average rent is moronic, since that includes incredibly high rent-paying rich city-dwellers that massively boosts the average.

I lived in a 4 bedroom appartment with 5 people and my rent was 120~ after utilities.
Fucking whiny entitled fucks.

Finally, this is the reply which BTFOs OP’s argument. Why are they comparing average rent to minimum wage? Minimum wage should be compared to low-end housing

sage

Oh noooooo You have to share!!!! The horror!!!

Because we have government projects here, where the rent is $25 a month, and you have to live next to niggers.

Fucked up maths. Just a few days ago you guys told that the median wage is 18$ per hour which is about 3000$ per month with 40-hour work week. I imagine that median rent will be about 1K per month, which is totally fine when you earn 3K. Then of course one should take into account taxes, actual working hours per month, etc, etc, but I don't believe that working and lower middle class (i.e., people with okay background and education) are not doing fine in one of the richest countries in the world.

>average rent
>minimum wage
Yeah nothing wrong here

You only work 40 hours a week??? Get a second job already...

So your saying housing is overpriced and the market will crash? I agree.

Attached: laceychabert-10.jpg (683x1024, 101K)

Finally a good post, where I live you can get a one bedroom for 200$ downtown and where I live it's like 80 percent white and about 20 perfect black. Only problem is that one out of every four people is constantly drunk here which really isn't that bad. Many decent apartments are 350-450 as well. Not to mention lots of fast food/retail jobs pay 11-13.

Or study in your free time and then get a better-paying job.

>One morning you wake up and find out all your room mates are antifa. Can't kick them out because of rent laws.

>do to
Too*

Retard

Because we don't need people doing shitty minimum wage jobs right? The bottom line here, is we need people doing this shit jobs. And while I agree they shouldn't be paid well, they should be paid a livable wage. We need plebs doing shit jobs everyone else doesn't want to do. If they aren't getting paid enough to live then we are in trouble.

> The current state of Capitalism
> Retarded board wants me to move to countryside where rent is cheap
> Coveniently forget jobs are also shit paying
> Move to area with good jobs
> Shekelstein gets a wiff of my paycheck and raises rent 1000% along with price of goods

Anybody still defending this system is a fucking cuck by definition. You like to take it up the ass.

Median household income
Median single filer income is 35k. 25% of that is 727$ a month. Median rent is 864$, so you'd need to make 41k to afford it.

Here I officially work 35 hours. But like many other people I'm not paid by hour, so this number if purely theoretical.

Attached: 1521559376872.png (506x575, 342K)

Then how do I get to work?

>$1234
Analysis conducted by the Qwerty Institute of Asdf Studies.

Plebs should be doing pleb jobs for pleb pay. If there's some high-functioning pleb among them, he should work on himself.

>average rent
>compared to minimum wage
>not average wage
Feels good to not be this stupid

stop living in a big city

my rent is $700 for a 1/1 in what is considered an overly inflated region (few homes for rent).

rent only goes down from there.

You don't compare averages to minimums. You compare averages to averages. You shouldn't be going by minimum wage. You should be going by average wage. The U.S. annual average wage is $60,154. That translates into $5012.83 per-month. So, the average wage earner does spend less than a quarter on rent. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_countries_by_average_wage

Subtract the unreasonable expensive shitholes like LA and NYC, and watch that """average""" sink like a fucking rock in water.

Rent should not be under a quarter of your monthly income if you are working minimum wage.
