Best thing is that they are successively cutting funds for the 'integration' of Muslims. They semi-openly state that integration has failed / is simply impossible. Now it seems they are working on legislative tools to cut the gibs for those subhumans. I think they don't even want to bother with deportations (we know how complicated and messy these are under current international law and 'human rights'), they simply want to force them to leave voluntarily or chimp out so they can stamp down on them hard and good. Glorious, simply glorious! And I do think it will work, they are directly targeting any structures of the old entrenched Socialists so nothing stands in the way of this plan. But there had always been something beyond the surface, asleep but still alive. The deep structures are a whole other issue, Austria is still corrupt as fuck and that is not only due to the Reds ... the ÖVP is mostly the same though Kurz has ursurped the old structures within his party and he seems willing to sacrifice those who have worked into their own pockets as long as he can consolidate his power base. The FPÖ is a handy partner here as they do not have much to lose in that game. Think that is the reason why so many key ministries were given to them by Kurz ... they have no ties to the old structures but do know that it is in their best interest to play along. I don't think Kurz will clean house as thorough as I would like it but it is at least a start to break up the old structures ... it opens a path, an opportunity for something new. Though I do think that NGO influence will be the next step but it is smart to not do that right now considering how heavy-handed the Hungarians did manage that problem. Would be bad publicity and Kurz is very much about keeping face ... think about that as you will.

Yes, and that is a huge issue! Admitting to mistakes is not a particular 'strength' with many people. It simply hurts to realize that you have been made a fool. But that is what anger is for ... if you cross a certain threshold you do not emotionally care anymore about having been made the fool.
