why do people spend $100+ on these things

Check out this nice buyfagging guide: buyfags.moe

Good morning buyfriends!

And a doubly good morning to all the dakimakura owners who got to wake up next to the smiling face of their waifus!

Don't you just love snuggling with your beloved?

Because they are nice.

Good morning!

I want her but don't want to get jewed when another company makes a better version of her.

>not even your dakimakura can save you from sleeping like shit anymore

Please help me compile a list of Twitter worth following.

Fuck off with your spoonfeeding.

Don't get it.

So much for "not wanting to be spoonfed". Read the guide, check the info sites, use your brain.

What color should I go with? Leaning towards red personally.

None, her face is fully as shit. If forced though, I'd go with white.

White looks better because of the contrast, red as a second option. Blue is shit.

White

White
Its contrasts better

Any of you guys collect mousepads?

This guy understands, I'm with him. How many of you seem to find the original colors for figures with a palette swap to be the best most of the time? I do.

>why do people spend money
Because they want what’s being sold and accept the price, you dense fuckhead.

Names of people who others like isn't spoonfeeding anymore than linking to MFC for a figure would be.
None of this is in the guide.

The guide contains links to all most popular sites with figure announcements and prototypes, as well as the resources to track pretty much every single sculptor.

Yes, you are asking to be spoonfed.

Except you are not asking for a link to MFC, you are literally asking for a list. That is spoonfeeding of the worst kind.

Because I've lost control of my life. Also, super horny at all times.

Because they can afford to.

Personally I really like . is pretty good too.

To cum on them

>tfw saving pictures of all the figures i cant afford
feels sad

dumb armpit sniff

I feel conflicted about that figure, it's a 3d model of a 2d representation of a 3d girl.

>Why don't people spend $100+ on these things
ftfy

>17:00
>morning
I know, I know, just having a laff[/spider]

The 3d girl is cuter

I used to use twitter to follow up figure releases and prototypes nut ended up following all my favorite doujin artists and now my TL is filled with new lewd illustrations and book releases. I like it better that way, at least I know what to look forward to for next comiket.

Rather just model my own and use 3D print service or my home printer to get it.

>Get home from work
>Laugh when i see pic related
>Must've tucked her in in a hurry this morning

post that one maid with cum dripping from her cunny, you know which one I'm talking about

Which yields way worse value and quality.

Go ahead and spends dozens of hours modeling and detailing, a couple hundred dollars worth of materials to build and properly finish a product that will be inferior and degrade way faster than regular pvc figures.

If you even have the required skills that is.

I wish I could've afforded that buttpad. Right now I only have a NGE oppai pad and a regular Pochaco mousepad with mouse.

who is it ? I just liked the butt and saved the picture after it was posted here.

I have always been curious if these kind of figures are handpainted?

>no update on my EMS package for 4 days
somebody hold me

What country?

Just ordered these two cuties as a Christmas gift for myself. Got a pretty good deal on the booby Saber Bride.

That figure is designed after Ushimura Iiniku I'm pretty sure. Don't really see the resemblance too though, but yeah.

How come you can't pre-order some CDs on amiami? I don't mean they have ran out, I mean they are shown as "pre-orders closed" until release date and then you can buy them. Normal?

The materials will definitely not cost that much though, even if you paint and finish it to "extreme" extends. Rest is true though.

They finally came.
And so have I.

US

...

>still no Astolfo plushie

He better get one.

I am literally counting the days until the next Futaket so Melonbooks restocks these.

>package finally arrived on the country
>customs will probably hold it for 2 more weeks
Suffering.

>tfw it's a porn girl
it looks really cute though, the legs look really nice. I'm gonna look for it.

She only does lewd gravure. No on screen penetration (yet).

How long does customs take in bongland?

>tfw will never understand what the fuck makes a figure age restricted or not on Amiami

Good quality filament is expensive, and that's the shit ties printing method. Powder and resin based printers use quality more expensive materials.

Then add on top of that all tools used for detailing, sanding, sculpting, pinning (you are dealing with non flexible plastics, so pegs alone are not enough), priming, painting and coating and just in consumables you will be spending close to a hundred bucks, and that only if you already have the required tools, if not think spending several hundreds.

It's not as simple as paying for just the plastic.

Show us the bathroom sink! Does the light work?

I'm saying that paint/plastic/other small consumables can't be more than a 100$, not for a single figure.

They have sold their alloted stock. Simple as that. They won't accept more orders since they might not be able to secure enough copies.

If you have them around then no it won't be that much, but you can't go to the store and ask for half a ml of paint, primer or thinning agents. You will be getting a couple dozens of paint bottles, sandpaper in multiple grits, good quality filament and nozzles, lining pens, metal wire and glue among other things which sure, will last for more than one build but doesn't change the fact that the investment is significant.

And that is just for consumables.

I was referring to this: amiami.com/top/detail/detail?gcode=MED-CD2-26979
It was listed as pre-orders closed, but then once it was actually released its in stock.

Okay, so you don't need a couple hundred dollars worth of materials to build and properly finish a product. Which is what I was saying. I never talked about 1 time investments, or investments that can be reused a bunch however that's called.

People cancelled some orders maybe they could get extra copies. It's simple as that.

Its been in stock for like 12+ hours though, so unless 10s of people got cancellations in a matter of a few days of the item being listed...

Again, Good quality plastic for printing a 1/8 alone is over 70 bucks, that that's filament. Resin is double that easily.

The shitty kind of filament you can get to print basic geometries is not good enough

My 2018 Kantoku calendar finally shipped today. Since I sent it SAL it won't arrive by new year

Amiami gets cancelations even before the the item is listed, not unheard of. Also it's not like the extra copies they get is one or two, they literally deal with copies by the hundreds since they deal with master packages.

>Again
>Presents new information
You've only said that the combined costs with investment was over 100$ for the consumables, now you suddenly say the filament itself is over 100$.
You're talking out your ass.

>Usin SAL over EMS in december

Satori disgust.jpg

Recolored version of Elphelt from amiami arrived just a minute ago.

amiami.com/top/detail/detail?gcode=MED-CD2-26980 was listed a few days ago. I somehow doubt its already sold out.

And it is, again, I mentioned just the plastic worth which already pushed the cost near the hundred mark.

That is JUST ONE consumable

>again, I mentioned just the plastic worth
You always combined it with the combined costs, but whatever. Do you have any reason to make me believe you're not bullshitting? Like a link to a site that lists plastic at such retarded prices?

The filament is 70ish, you are not just using the material on the fifth re itself, when using additive printing of plastics you need support structures that are discarded and often than not are double what you get at the end.

Use Google, there are plenty of failed cases. Most recent example is the guy who duplicated a petit nendo miku and spent 50 bucks in materials, unpainted, not sanded, not detailed.

Even if you'd double the plastic use, you'd be hard pressed to use that much fucking plastic.
Okay, I did. Best I found was 40$ for an entire spool. Now it's your turn.

>Most recent example is the guy who duplicated a petit nendo miku and spent 50 bucks in materials, unpainted, not sanded, not detailed.
We're talking about the 70$ for a figure worth of plastic, not the rest of the consumables.

This is ハンドくん, say something nice to him.

I don't see what is so hard to believe, 3D printing is not a cheap method of production, nor it will ever be. It's a fast prototyping method, underdetailed and expensive.

Nothing will ever be as cheap as injecting molten pasting in a mold.

And I gave an example of just plastic and nozzles being consumed, nothing else. And for a fucking petit nendo.

I loved you in Super Smash Bros

I ordered it a long time ago and wasn't thinking.

>3D printing is not a cheap method of production, nor it will ever be. It's a fast prototyping method, underdetailed and expensive.
Because it requires a pretty big investment, and is fairly undetailed. Things I'm not arguing. The plastic itself isn't 70$ for a figure's worth of plastic.
Post a link I meant, to the part where it says the plastic is 70$. Here's mine 3dinsider.com/abs-3d-printing-filaments/ You can print at least 2 figures with one spool I'm guessing, probably a lot more.
Nozzles also aren't the plastic, and fairly expensive. They're a one time investment.

That level of articulation gets me all hot and bothered.

I printed a small sculpt for CAD/Cam class, the equivalent of a 1/7. Since multiple parts had to be printed (16) I actually spent two 1kg spools, final weight of the parts combined was 750gr

Nozzles are not a one time investment, I work on a rapid prototype lab at uni and nozzles have to be replaced every couple of weeks.

Okay, doesn't really matter for the discussion anyway.

The original had nice colors, that just looks terrible.
Also, don't take a picture of something with a bright source of light in the background dipshit.

It is a consumable though, so yeah it does matter. Even if you split the cost along several figures it's still considerable.

>It is a consumable though, so yeah it does matter.
The current discussion isn't about consumables in general, it's about the cost of plastic for a single figure. Learn to read. >We're talking about the 70$ for a figure worth of plastic, not the rest of the consumables.
>, I mentioned just the plastic worth which already pushed the cost near the hundred mark.

So, uh, what are you arguing about again?

A retard thinking every gram of plastic goes to the final 3d figure if you use a 3d printer.

I'm tired of those 3D printing retards who think it's either cheap or good at all.

>good at all
People actually think that? A 3D printer isn't going to produce something with intricate detail.

Who is the knive ear? Looks nice.

Plenty retards do, then they spew bullshit about 3d printers being the future and that we'll get awesome printers in a decade when barely anything has happened since 40 years ago.

>he doesn't churn out ALTER-quality figures using his entry-level 3D printer and cheap resources

Embarassing, I feel bad for you nerds.

Nevermind. Got it.

Wanna fight, bitch? Just let me get rid of these chunks of plastic and I'll kick your ass.

I just think you don't need 2 spools to print one figure. Still waiting on that link though.

Why? Just do it yourself. I mean, must be cheap according to you.
