I am 26 and my dad is past retirement age (he’s also much older than my mom) Now he’s got it in his head to move to Hungary. First I didn’t take his plan very seriously but since he’s dropped the asking price of “our” house significantly it seems that it is really happening. We live in a pretty decent house in the countryside but my dad says you can buy a house like that for 1/5th of the price in Hungary and he’ll get to keep the rest/give it to me as part of my inheritance. What do Sup Forums, should I try to talk him about of it? What are the pros and cons? Probably the main reasons my dad wants to move are the Muslim problem and the money.

He is, he's been redpilling me on the Muslim problem since I was like 14, took a couple of years before I swallowed it, though. It's just that he's over 70 and wants to spend his remaining years pretty in a country where he doesn't speak the language, knows nobody, etc. And of course, despite having lived on my own for quite a few years, I'm still attached to our old house. We never moved. It's going to be a big step but I can see myself visiting Hungary every few 1-2 months.

Again, for 200k you have a cuckshed in Holland, but a villa in your country. He gets to keep the rest of the money from selling our house.That's all that matters, and the peace and quiet.

I looked at the prices, you can get a decent size house for 200k in netherlands, it's not much cheaper in szombathely, and most certainly not in the capital
also if your dad is old you should check if the place even has a doctor, and preferably a private doctor, because public ones not only all leave the country but they generally don't give a shit either

I'm very curious where you are finding ' decent size' houses for 200k in the Netherlands. I'm even more curious where you find 'slightly' cheaper houses in Szombathely that are comparable in size. All I'm seeing is properties well below the 100k mark with over 1000m2 and decent interior.
I raised the issue of healthy with my dad. He's not concerned with that, he lives from day to day and right now he's in excellent health. If he were to die next year, so be it, he says. Also, what's the point with rural houses? My parents currently live in pic-related, they want something similar for around 50k. Should be feasible, no?
Also, with regards to Muslims I think you are on the wrong board. The things you mentioned are degenerate, but Islam is degeneracy on a whole different level. With regards to taxes I can only speak to the situation as is here. Max 52% when you have an 'own property'. You're actually taxed for owning a house and the interest you can deduct is limited. Which taxes in Hungary are specifically high?
