>China’s yuan-denominated crude oil futures launched overnight in Shanghai with 62,500 contracts traded in aggregate, meaning over 62 million barrels of oil changed hands for a notional volume around 27 billion yuan (over $4 billion) >Glencore, Trafigura, and Freepoint Commodities were among the first to buy the new contract >Many awaited the launch eagerly, seeking to tap China’s bustling commodity markets, although doubts remain whether the Shanghai futures contract will be able to become another international oil benchmark. These doubts center on the fact that China is not a market economy, and the government is quick to interfere in the workings of the local commodity markets on any suspicion of a bubble coming
>As a result of these tight reins on the new market segment, some analysts believe international investors would be discouraged to tap the Shanghai oil futures. If the first day of trading is any indication, however, this is not the case, at least not for large commodity trading firms. >Additionally, Bloomberg reports that contract grades in Shanghai crude oil futures exchange could account for around 200 billion yuan in trades, based on China’s current import volumes, helping the nation in its efforts to internationalize its currency
>Now that China is the world’s leading consumer of oil, Beijing can exert some real leverage over Saudi Arabia to pay for crude in yuan. It’s suspected that this is what’s motivating Chinese officials to make a full-fledged effort to renegotiate their trade deal. >Once the oil markets are upended, the yuan has an opportunity to become the dominant world currency overall. This will further weaken the dollar. archive.is/HcJ0T
The conflict is country’s longest and, just shy of 16 years after then-Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld declared victory accomplished in April of 2002, perhaps its most absurd.

No, their asses are fucked thanks to Trump's plan.

I'm as shocked as you are. When I saw him with Mr. Obama I was sure he was untouchable.
Wow that dumb bitch on Tucker. They really want to come for all your guns.

So I just saw that Dan Schneider got fired, I never thought I'd see the day. Do you suppose it's related to Podesta and the FBI or just a happy coincidence?

>I expose McCain as a Zionist kike just like Trump
If they fired him it's possible there are already charges filed

Washington had by the summer of 2014 spent more money in Afghanistan than was spent on the Marshall Plan.

Happening this summer: Kim Jong-un surrenders and Korean war ends. Anthony Kennedy retires and Trump gets another shitlord judge on the Supreme Court. Military builds wall. Rallies across the country cause leftist freak-outs to reach an all-time high thus finally polarizing leftist politics as dangerous to everyone.
I never get to watch live anymore because worst coast and work.
This is savage.

>Hyundai's union says revised trade deal with U.S. 'humiliating'
>The United States and South Korea agreed to revise a trade pact sharply criticized by U.S. President Donald Trump, Seoul said on Monday, with the nations agreeing to extend U.S. tariffs on Korean pickup trucks by 20 years until 2041.
>"The union has called for domestic (South Korean) production of pickup trucks for the past several years," the union said in a statement, adding it believes the U.S. pickup truck market "represents the U.S. market's blue ocean and the future bread and butter of the South Korean auto industry".
>The government's agreement to revise the U.S.-Korea Free Trade Agreement's auto industry section "is a humiliating negotiation that accepted Trump's 'strategy to preemptively block Korean pickup trucks'", the union said.
China applauds Putin’s win, backs Russia on Skripal case, hails China’s ‘strategic partnership’ with Russia
>Now Global Times calls it “the China-Russia comprehensive strategic collaborative partnership”. Note that both President Putin and President Xi Jinping referred to it as a “comprehensive strategic cooperation partnership” in their respective telegrams to each other. It appears that this is now the agreed formula used to describe the relationship.
I wonder for how much longer the Chinese and the Russians will go on pretending that their relationship is anything other than what it obviously is, something which can be summed up altogether more simply, with one word: alliance.
That whole episode was pretty great. Dumb sheboon who got cut off in the end, Steyn and Katie Hopkins

To be honest if Trump didn't restart energy exports, China would've had a better chance.

>No no Tucker you don't wanna talk about the numbers let's talk about the numbers it I see you got the numbers and you totally right on the numbers but what about the numbers Tucker? *claps*

To be fair, you have to have a very high IQ to understand John McCain. The decisions he makes are extremely subtle, and without a solid grasp of theoretical physics most of the desisions he makes will go over a typical american's head. There's also McCain's nihilistic outlook, which is deftly woven into his characterisation - his personal philosophy draws heavily from Narodnaya Volya literature, for instance. The democrats understand this stuff; they have the intellectual capacity to truly appreciate the depths of his decisions, to realize that they're not just smart- they say something deep about REPUBLICANS. As a consequence people who dislike John McCain truly ARE idiots- of course they wouldn't appreciate, for instance, his decision on voting against healthcare which itself is a cryptic reference to Turgenev's Russian epic Fathers and Sons. I'm smirking right now just imagining one of those addlepated simpletons scratching their heads in confusion as John McCain's genius unfolds itself. What fools... how I pity them. And yes by the way, I DO have a "McCain is our savior" tattoo. And no, you cannot see it. It's for the ladies' eyes only- And even they have to demonstrate that they're within 5 IQ points of my own (preferably lower) beforehand
I can't watch it live either as I work a PM job and his show airs fifteen minutes after I clock in. I've forgotten how fast /ptg/ can get since I'm usually only here during real lewd hours.
