Ok, I did not see this plot twist coming

Ok, I did not see this plot twist coming.

brutus-san, sonna...

>not Brutus-kun

NAZE O BRUTUS-KUN

Caesar-sama...

...

You could see it coming from a mile away. Brutus even had an ancestor that looked exactly like him do the same thing.
This is Naruto-tier foreshadowing.
This entire series started dragging at the Sulla arc. I don't think it will ever recover.

Fuck you, best boy will save it easily

>replacing alpha MC with generic beta

what were they thinking?

I am SO confused right now, what am I even reading ITT?

shit jumped the shark after the punic arc

...

At least it was less of an asspull than Hannibal's arc.

>O MY ELEPHANTS

>impying Nero wasn't the best thing that happened to this franchise

>Caesar an alpha
He was a twink pretty boy

Scipio was the way bigger asspull.
>see those elephants?
> they are the greatest biological weapons of all time
>how about we stand in rows and let them run right through the avenues inbetween our lines
The elephants were already foreshadowed in the Alexander arc, but they used them way better there and they had actually better counter measurements against them. Not this bullshit.

That's because that was a lazy copout by the writers because they accidentally turned their "hero" into a villain and didn't know how to fix it so they killed him.

>>>caesar as a villain
come on, the Senate was fucked, and caesar proved in the gallic campaign arc that he's looking out for everyone

>caesar
>villain

>Caesar
>a villian
Seriously, if he was wrong, then who was right? The Senate? Pompeius? Don't make me laugh

>Nero
>Not the Caligula arc

Anime adaptation when?

Dropped

/his/ pls go

Caesar was never the MC, user.

>newfag doesnt know about romaboo threads

>generic beta
>hurr durr why Octavian no brutish jerk, me no can self-insert
Proletarii not welcome

i'm really looking forward to the sequel

Yeah, we get it, Cato, it was your turn. Now kindly stop shitposting

What was the point of this character?

clever antagonist, basically just exposition though

Anime about Gallic wars would be GOAT, honestly

Is Caligula perhaps the best shounen MC of all time?
His bants will always be remembered. I wish the author would've let him finish rebuilding the second Temple of Israel into his personal temple. The butthurt would have been awesome.

>no anime about divine typhoons saving the japs from filthy mongols
>no miracles victory over the russo savages whil the roaches praise the victory to the heavens in HD
Come on Japan.

MC during the Catilina Arc, after that he just seemed to be a narrator, appearing ever now and then and giving the viewer some informations.
But I honestly believe he is the authors self insert.

He single-handedly made the show worth watching.

it dragged on as hell and there were numerous points in the story where it should have died but was saved by asspulls.

Ok, is he gonna fuck her or what?

Honestly, Basil II Arc was god-tier. It all went downhill after Manzikert, honestly.

>sequel nobody asked for
>drags on for almost longer than the original series
>almost all the characters are pants on head retarded and the few good ones get murdered by annoying fucktards
Why couldn't the creator just end it with dignity?

>you are Rome's Helen of Troy, Brutus-san

>not wanting a cute beta who's actually competent
Pleb

On a serious note, is there a good anime set in ancient rome or greece?

Why was he such a bitch? And they gave him the best death scene.

Drifters has Scipio and Hannibal in it

What's your opinion on the reboot?

Letting foreign studios do it was a mistake.

Why did they kill off the narrator? This show has become so much harder to follow without his lengthy expositions.

Wait, who was best girl again?

Worst ending 1453.

Easily Barbara the Celt Concubine.

Brutus

>implying he didn't affectionately call him Brukkun

>Sulla vs Cynna
>not fucking best fight
Shit taste right here.

>Holy
>Roman
>Empire

>try adapting it for a modern audience
>starts catering to the large German fanbase
>whole thing goes to shit

According to Michael Critobulus (writing later in Mehmed's service), he remarked, "The city is fallen and I am still alive." Then he tore off his imperial ornaments so as to let nothing distinguish him from any other soldier and led his remaining soldiers into a last charge where he was killed.

Top 10 anime deaths.

PADORU PADORU

Voltaire please go and stay go.

Seriously, Otto III arc seemed great, especially that alliance with Bolesław the Brave who was basically his sworn brother, shame shitlords didn't like it and he was killed off. Such a waste of potential.

...

Barbarossa arc is GOAT though despite the stupid ending

Implying it wasn't all worth it to see Hannibal utterly degraded in the end and die a weak worthless old man

Hasdrubal's wife was pretty hot

>build up as the best emperor for years
>makes everyone his bitch
>Crusade arc starts
>killed off in a comedy scene
What were the writers thinking?

better than the original's sequel but it's bureacracy was pure autism.

Don't forget
>add in some bullshit prophecy aboout his return in case they run out of characters
They're fucking hacks

>liking Otto III arc
His arc was shit compared to Otto I arc full of killing hungarians with the Longinuslance
