To begin with, blacks commit about 50% of the murders (but make up about 12% of the population). So that would be the person on the right of the photo. Hispanics commit about 30% of the murders (but make up around 18% of the population). So that would be the person on the left of the photo. Whites commit basically the remaining 20% of the murders (make up around 60 odd percent of the population). That would be the sign they are holding.
