Whats the situation like in Spain and Portugal? Are they being swarmed by "refugees" or are they not taking any in? Can Spain be grouped in with the likes of Britain and Sweden? or Italy and Poland? or are they a different beast all together?

The refugees even complain of the situation. I remember to watch a report of some Syrian restaurant in Lisbon with Syrian refugees workers and the brother and worker there saying that it was more easy to sustain himself and his family in Egypt than in Portugal.
What MATTERS MOST is the immigration law changed in the last summer and other working agreements - legal immigrants and illegal immigrants - not the few immigrants coming for raperefugee way - 1500 half escaped - with 9000 (goal proposed by the Prime-Minister).
