I'm already drawing elipses, cilinders, boxes etc for an hour each day as a warm up. Is there anything else I could do to complement it? Would focusing on copying stuff like this actually benefit me, or should I do something else?

Try to draw what's actually in front of you and around you. Just drawing shapes is no good, don't copy existing art either. It's better to see things in your own environment in order to understand what shapes they're composed of. Hope that makes sense.

-Singing Christmas songs to himself while making decorations (I feel like he'd really love the holiday)

-Doing something artsy with SI - designing something together (she draws while he sews) together they make something painful--I mean amazing! You can combine this with the decoration/ugly sweater ones if you like.
