Just finished watching Koe no Katachi, lets have a thread about it. I feel hollow, bros.
Koe no Katachi
I watched it in august. It was absolutely great.
...
but what does it mean
Only kind of issue I had about it is that it felt like some of the side characters most definitely did not get the screen time they needed, they just felt injected and for some reason were best friends now.
I watched it while suffering explosive diarrhea. Really made me feel empty.
I feel like the rhythm of this movie was kinda fast in certain parts. It needed to be a longer movie.
I liked it a lot.
...
shit sucks
or maybe a leter-date extended version
Posting best girl.
Because they cut the movie arc which had some character development. Too bad the arc itself was shit.
>Worst girl is best
dude what?
>Mom! I posted it again!
A Cute
I kind of disliked the ending at first but the more I thought about it I am glad they were all just friends. This is definitely one of my favorites now.
...
great film up to about the half way point, after that it goes to shit. When they met at the bridge in the middle of the night was when i knew this movie was actually retarded
It was a terrible adaptation that would've worked better as a TV show but they fucked it all up.
Nice wrong opinions.
No beach episode — no bueno
>Needing fan service episode
STOP
How can you defend the pacing of the second half of the movie?
Because it was fine.
every thread, user.
I found the mango mostly annoying without any sort of closure. Hated all characters too.
>streaming
Bullying is my fetish, do you recommend this?
I hate that trope too, user, just mocking the guy above.
Sadly, yeah.
>9anime.tv
really loved it, probably one of my favorite anime ive seen
I haven't watched In this corner yet and hope it lives up to the hype, because the others were just aight
Out of curiosity, how much anime have you watched?
My nigga
>anime secondaries
Are there any animes like these but dont take place with school kids?
I would also feel hollow after witnessing another soulless artpiece done by insect people who do the weirdest mental gymnastics possible to somehow put the blame on the harmless deaf girl who got bullied to near suicide while letting the borderline sociopathic monsters roam free because "society says so".
The manga tries a bit better but yeah the drama still feels forced, The movie feels fucking robotic though
Funny, I thought the extra drama in the manga was very cringe and the movie portrayed the main plot points better and in a more natural way.
Yeah some like the manga better others the movie, I wouldn't say either is too good but still worth experiencing
>weirdest mental gymnastics possible
You say that but she did ruin class's everyday life, easy to be all sympathetic from a reader perspective point, not so easy when you experience it on your won skin.
>deaf girl who got bullied to near suicide
That's not what happened.
>not so easy when you experience it on your won skin.
It's actually kinda easy, try to get an actual intimate relationship with her so she can express her true self, try finding a way to help her in a way that is convenient to both her and the classes, or at least don't pester her when other people are taking care of her (Sahara). The reason it ended up like that is because most kids acted in the most retarded possible way, and some of them stayed like that for years.
Don't you think this is a bit too much for an elemenrary schooler?
>most kids acted in the most retarded possible way
Yeah, like actual kids, more shoking truth at eleven.
I do agree that such consequences would have been avoided if teacher wasn't such an apathetic bastard, but that's how young teachers usually are.
It's still unlikely that kids acted like that to a deaf girl, especially if she was cute like Shouko, I mean of teasing sure but not to that level. The most shocking part though is that some of the characters still acted like elementary schoolers at 18
Welcome to anime, where most kids act like adults, and adults act like children.
I know user, but you can tell the author tried to be a bit more realistic than your typical high school drama, even if it didn't end so well.
I really don't know how it is in school nowadays, but I don't see anything too irrational in these kids behavior, in fact — I was surprised how relatable it felt. During my middle school days I had couple studens like Shoya and Naoka in my class not too bad actually, some other classes had it worse, that were picking on the weak and doing all kinds of fucked up stuff, like they were picking even on teachers, that's basic education school for you. I guess it's might be different in actually good countries\schools.
>especially if she was cute like Shouko
For 2d standards she is not that special, user.
>acted like elementary schoolers at 18
He said on fucking anonymous anime board.
So you only enter a thread about something you don't like so I you can spam this every time? You are literally autistic.
>underestimating nippon societal pressure
>It's still unlikely that kids acted like that to a deaf girl
The kind of kids that gets bullied are usually those considered weird and weak, with trouble to communicate and make friend. She was an easy and obvious target, really.
Hollow like the rushed characterisation.
I read like half the manga years ago and found it kind of dull and dropped it, and I doubted Yamada could pull off yet another masterpiece-tier movie.
But it far exceeded my expectations, I was absolutely blown away. It's now one of my favorite anime.
Yamada really knows how to make things feel really tactile.
But Ueno isn't worst girl, that's blonde megane bitch.
I don't know what sheltered environment you grew up in, but it's a pretty accurate depiction of how shitty growing up as the average kid in an Asian city can be.
I actually find this offensive. Please delete it.
