51 last time I checked. If it gets greenlit for more "seasons" it will probably retain the Naruto format of just being ongoing and shoving filler in there left and right to keep up with the manga. It already has some minor pacing issues.
Personally I don't even mind as long as it doesn't get to Naruto filler hell levels (which caused me to drop the whole thing altogether, never even watched Shitpoodamn).

More like gigantic pacing issues. With 11 episodes it only adapted 9 chapters. Episode 3 was 100% filler. There are recaps worth 4 minutes in every episode. It's a big fucking mess.
Because it's like Medieval Europe, roads are only for in between big cities. Everywhere else is just a well worn path. Also it's a very socially stratified society.

There are people still watching One piece, where the pace has being too slow since the Archipelago. No other way to explain it, this pace is just what they require.
Its because of an underlying fault with the entire manga in that the pacing moves way too quickly and as a result glosses over too much. The anime is at least trying to expand upon aspects that need further explanation and is able to cover more. Hell we're probably going to see the light novel shit adapted into the anime so that Kruger does't just appear out of now where.

Yeah, except maybe the fact that One Piece has been going on for over a decade while the manga still hasn't been completed and the only alternative would be to adapt it à la Hero Academia (meaning taking year long breaks between each season), which is not viable for the most popular anime in Japan considering Toei would bleed money if they did that?
It's more glaring for Black Clover because it's a new series.
That being said since it does have more time it doesn't need to do that stupid crap where every character reacts to the current situation, or where every character needs to make a line to reaffirm their characters identity. Since a lot of the characters in Black Clover are very one note this is going to wear on the watcher a hell of a lot and its already pretty grating.

No, that was because the manga skipped the journey, it usually requires a few days if you do basically nothing but walk and sleep and a hour for eating/other stuff,
thats one of the things the anime did well, it gave a better feeling that there is actually a immensely large world in that universe and that it is filled with mages of all types which i cant wait to see more of
