Would you drop/not pick up an anime just because of a completely superficial reason? Like, say a manga is generally agreed to have an 8/10 story. Not quite perfect, but still generally favorable. You watch an episode of the anime adaptation and realize the animation is incredibly cheap and lazy. Or the voice actors are noticeably bad. Or the art style differs too much from the source material. Would you drop a show with a generally good story over something like that?
Would you drop/not pick up an anime just because of a completely superficial reason? Like...
plot is for teens
I will Immediately Drop a show if a promising romance subplot is going nowhere. As a result i H8 harem shows
>completely superficial reason?
Your examples arent that. Those are the core features of an anime.
If I already read the manga there's no reason to stick around a shitty adaptation. The whole point is seeing the characters animated and the VAs after all
This. I almost think youre baiting with how nonsensical the question is.
I will drop an excellent show if I don't enjoy watching it. Sometimes I don't like things, and there's not much point slogging through entertainment that I don't like.
>cheap/lazy animation
You are a layperson and can't decide that objectively.
>bad VA
You can't even understand without subs as a layperson.
>art done by an animation studio differs from the manga production
Ground breaking stuff you've stumbled upon. Call Digibro.
You whole post reads like Sup Forums and smells of Sup Forums. You have to go back.
Plot/characters are more important than something like animation. Haikyuu has excellent animation, but if you have no interest in the characters or the story, would you really sit through an entire series just because of the animation alone?
haikyuu has shitty animation especially in anything regarding the actual sport scenes. the fuck are you on about?
They are both important, you retard.
of course I would. Assuming I'm already familiar with the story from reading the manga, I'm not gonna trudge my way through a mediocre adaptation, or even a good adaptation if I really don't have the time. I like the Boku no Hero, but the anime was slow as shit and I ended up just half-heartedly playing the first season in the background while working on other things, only tuning in for guaranteed good scenes.
"Bad" anime that have poor reception among the online community just hurts even more to drop, because of course I only ever picked it up because I liked the manga, but there's not much point in keeping up with it so I put it on my backlog and just come back to watch certain scenes when I have time.
>you have to be a chef to tell if the food is shit
I fail to start oyasumi punpun because of mc character design
If the overall work is interesting I keep watching, if it isn't I drop the fuck out of it.
Duh.
mecha/kaiju fighting unconditionally are insta-dropped, but things like YuYuYu are ok
I will never watch evangelion no matter what
Duh.
Go back to school and learn what "superficial" means.
Then come back here and rebuild your post.
This. I can't watch harem shows. They just go in circles. Plus, even if there is a canon choice the protag ALWAYS has the worst fucking taste in girls.
I dropped Strike Witches in the first minutes because it shoved panties in my eyeballs.
>watch a show like strike witches
>not expecting panties
You may be 1)Female 2)Retarded 3)Both 4)Just plain ol' gay.
Not that there's anything wrong with any of that but it's a fair assessment.
