I finished seeing Arc V. I liked the series, but I think it was the worst end of yugioh. The arch xys was very fast, the arc of fusion was a bit bad and I hated the battle against Zarc, it was very annoying and the other characters only appeared to lose until reira / ray appeared. I did not like Reira becoming a baby and the girls and boys were still fused, Shun lost his sister, we never saw a reunion of Yuto and Rin, Serena deserved more. I liked that the 4 dimensions are now linked to each other, but I did not like the rest, the characters deserved more, Zexal was a better written series, it did not seem like a really happy ending

the entirety of arc-v is nothing more than the supporting cast coddling yuya, telling him what to do at all times and congratulating him for doing fuck-all of his own accord. throughout all this he remains a whining beta who doesn't develop. actually that's not totally accurate - his "character arc" is just him developing and un-developing in a cycle which eventually leads to his character becoming a parody of itself. also kinda important to mention that he alone is responsible for everything bad that happened in the series and he gets no repercussion for it. in fact in the second-to-last episode he starts crying because he felt sorry for himself because he didn't mean to destroy the world, and that it was actually everyone else's fault.
yuya is absolutely pathetic and the direct antithesis to the model shonen protagonist
