I read the first couple of volumes of the light novel a few years ago and rember liking them but never kept up with the releases.
Now that the series is done (and now there's appare toy a sequel series) is it worth reading through the entire LN series? Or does it shit the bed midway through? Maybe read the manga instead?

It's a solid story. I thought volumes 8-13 could've been more condensed and that the "final" volume shouldn't have had a fucking sidestory occupying half the book, but overall it's a pretty nice ride.
