Post top tier isekai protagonists

...

...

this is not isekai

W-what are you talking about user? T-the truck missed. Haha....

Are there any BBEG isekai? (Kind of like Overlord except the MC is actually evil rather than neutral).

Dungeon Defense?

Ouroboros

What happened to Mickey Mouse!?

Reincarnation > Transportation\Summoning > Time Travel
is there anything else?

time travel isn't a way you get isekai'd though.

I want an isekai where the truck goes to another world.

There was a novel where mc travels to the future where earth became fantasy world.

It is still earth though.

Sounds groovy.

The novel is still modern isekai though.

And we can argue that if someone travels to the future\past that becomes paralel timeline\world. So it's not his original world and they exist at the same time from the standpoint of mc, if there is a way to get back.

>A truck-kun is fine too
When did you realize Megatron was the good guy?

I really like some isekai, but the absolute shitties thing that can happen in them is the fucking "yeah, it happend", where things just happen because fuck it we need this to further the story in a way we want without any logical reason or explanation, so you get MCs totally finding awesome shit on accident or activating their hidden skills(usually accompanied by the administrator voice unlocking them), or all those npcs just totally want to settle in your town or whatever, or the mc totally just levels up 10 times faster than anyone, or those people just deicde to work with you based on 2 minute conversation and shit, like fuck, make it somewhat realistic maybe and not aa fucking deus ex machina every chapter?
It's the shit like the slime guy where this happens, or kumo-chan, re:monster, etc etc....

why did you mention kumo though, there are proper reasons for all that shit there

I feel like there's too much of it in Kumo, even though i really like the premise and the character, it's like there's less and less of figuring stuff out and exploring, and more and more unlocking and shit.

I don't get your point.

She was very likeable, rare for a Seo heroine. Would she actually make a good isekai protagonist?

>Isekai about a Truck-kun who got isekaied in another world after an accident
Fucking when?

I actually like Kumo more than the normal isekai stuff because it keeps that videogame feeling of addictive accomplishment very present with the spider girl. I mean yeah she's doing this to survive and escape the tunnels of hell but she always acts and reacts like someone who really is striving to reach that next level. Very ambitious. Takes a lot of risks to find shit out.

How to explain it... user, you know how you get an isekai and you just know that no harm will come to the MC and nothing bad will ever happen even though the encounters are theoretically really bad? It's like that.
>there's a horde of orcs coming our way and there's like 5 times the amount of them
>yeah let's just kill the orc general and suddenly all orcs are buddy-buddy and want to work with us
>a demon is coming to our town!
>yeah but he/she is really infantile and we get buddy-buddy after like one chapter because shit reasons like "i want to know more about human world!" or "wow this food is delicious i'll totally just ask for it instead of leveling the village and enslaving all the cooks!"
>oh shit the MC is pitted against a sudden, powerful enemy, what do!
>no prob, the world just gave me a new awesome skill, so i'll one-shot him
It's like that. You know how in the slime isekai the dude eats the dragon at the beggining? You absolutely know that no harm will come to him no matter what, and even if it does, the dragon will proly be set loose and resurrect him or some bullshit asspull like that.
I just want it to be a bit more believable instead of reading it like i'm playing an RPG on "very easy".

>sent to a different world
>his super special skill is being good at playing with little plastic robots
>gets to live in best moms home
>gets to take best girl back with him
>confirmed to have fucked her

>new kumo chapters
Bueno.

re: monster was good for a couple of chapters, until the point where he beats the red bear and then the entire manga turns into a wish-fulfillment power fantasy

Is this isekai?

yeah, i stopped reading when the list of the skills got bigger than the list of things wrong with phantom world. Why can't you just have a few skills and expand on them, or make it fucking difficult to get new ones, like you have some overarching evil and jusst make and arc about getting a difficult skill from a dungeon or some shit, with the character development going alongside, and not just "yeah i killed a bear i get like 10 skills you will never see me use"

As much a I like kumo I admit it does feel kinda bogus when she got her 7 deadly sin cliché ability. It was so much stronger than the effort it took.

classifying fiction by physical location is pointless.
there are at least 5 isekai with a mid-late story reveal that the world is actually Earth or VR.

The worst I read recently would be Hachinan. The author took pain to create shitty verbose, like he tries so hard to convince the reader that his setting is realistic with (pretentious but retarded) politics infodump and shit, not to mention below standard shitty prose even for an isekai. At the end of the day, the plot moves forward in a most contrived kind of way. One example would be how MC gets engaged with this total beauty noble. He acts totally out of his character, suddenly becoming dumb and even how he gets tricked into engagement is totally stupid.

I really pity those (NU reviewers) who think that series is smarter or more realistic than the usual generic shit you read just because of the tedious, useless infodump, when in fact it's dumber as it's not even self-aware of its own stupidity. It's such a shame, the illustrations are cute.

Transported to a game world as your game avatar
Reincarnated in a game world as a major character
Transported to another world as your game avatar
Transported to another world in a body you design
Taking over someone's body in another world
Transported to another world then lol timeloop for revenge/sexy time
Stable travel to another world through which your can deliver trade goods or farming equipment or college aged magical girls
Whatever the fuck So What if It's an RPG World turns out to be (post apocalypse Matrix?)
Transported from another world to another world and there is no earth (what's the one where the MC worked for a shipping company or a railroad or something in one fantasy world and gets swept away to another one?)
Transported from earth to another world back to earth and then to a third world when trying to get back to the second with all the powers you picked up when saving the second
Lol there is no other world, you're actually an avatar of the Akashic Record created from information from modern Earth pre RPG apocalypse
Reincarnated in another world, then left to die of exposure by your parents only to be unbirthed by a succubus and reincarnated again within the same world.
Transported through multiple other worlds via world hopping
Stable portals to multiple other worlds
There's an other world that the MC could go to if they were so inclined but they'd rather just host visitors from that other world in their bathroom/bedroom
Transported to another world inside a chunk of this world that the MC generally never leaves because he's a fucking hikki

Isekai is turning me into an survivalist / amateur engineer
I can't die without knowing how to make guns, engines, etc. with the possibility that the afterlife is reincarnation in a world where that knowledge would make me rich

So I'm not the only one. I'm reading/watching guides how to make bows and crossbow, I'm also watching that primitivtech channel for basic shelter building.
That forgeblower episode was neat as fuck.

3rding

Know any good innawoods isekai?

What happens if a truck is run over by a person ?

>primitive technology
fucking A, love watching his videos, no unnecessary anything, just building primitive shit

>Know any good innawoods isekai?
Because Janitor-san Is Not a Hero

bookworm might be the closest you get. no way any of these authors have spent a night in the wilderness

stack overflow

>That feel when half of all isekai could pass for cooking manga/novels

>read this isekai about MC who is good at managing and shit
>king abdicates and makes him king
>gather hero to help kingdom recover from economic and food crisis
>kingdom has 3 generals that control certain territories and to keep king in check
>they doubt this MC as king because WTF new king?!
>disasters and shenanigans ensues
>time to confront these 3 generals (Land, Air, Sea) that are staging to plan a coup
>defeat first general (air) because he's a hot head

>other general (sea) actually doesnt want to rebel and agrees to work with MC
>the biggest and baddest general (land) still opposes MC
>defeat said general
>peace and prosperity all around
>finally talk to former king to ask why he turned MC into king
>it was actually according to keikaku since the king lived an alternate timeline wherein he didnt make MC king and everything got fucked
>turns out big bad general (land) was in it too because he was loyal to former king
>MC's battle-prowess was actually non-existent except for defeating hothead

and that's when I stopped reading

How about an Isekai where mc has the most pettable head in the isekai world.

Everyone gets the urge to pet mc's head with varying levels of intensity.

>an Isekai thread?
They get deleted.

It was actually the queen that lived in the alt timeline.

And the MC gets better at combat using magic puppets

Oh yeah, well whatever. I just got exhausted for "meh" payoff. Maybe it'll translate better in manga. This is why I avoid LN's.

>innawoods isekai?

Evolution Fruit isekai. Where MC gets stucks in the forest and marries a gorilla waifu.

novelupdates.com/series/shinka-no-mi/

>He also fucks a donkey later.

Maybe she gets gifted with cheat Bard powers?

>Everyone gets the urge to pet mc's head with varying levels of intensity.
To Deprive a Deprived Person
Bocchi Tenseiki (Really hope that this gets picked up again because it sets up really early on that the MC is probably going to end up time traveling to create a goddess legend and the MC actually realizes this well in advance based upon his ownership of a green wig.)

How many heroes actually have to work their way into becoming overpowered? I mean, obviously they will have an unfair advantage compared with non isekai characters, but that at least need to put some effort in their shit instead of instantly leveling up hundreds of levels with a single battle, earn dozens of skills just by beating mooks or just plain being OP as fuck/having godly cheat items from day one and making veteran warriors who are super strong by standards of the new world shit their pants with how strong MC is.

Any other material you guys go through for isekai prep?

Well, I downloaded that Army Field Survival Manual app in my phone, but dunno if I will ever use it in the future.

Most MCs aren't broken and even the ones that are usually regularly end up finding gaps in their stats that they have to account for, like having 999 defense not actually counting for magic defense or how having a shitton of classes giving you zero ability to actually sway politics so you don't have to work for the military if you want to live in society or all your broken as shit magic actually requiring massive MP expenditures due to damage resistance on all your enemies forcing you to cast inefficient spells that can pierce their shit or Megumin style finishers that don't give 2 shits about defense but also cause MP exhaustion in one go or the MC has a broken as shit ability but lacks the creativity to effectively exploit it.

The free god powers scenario is really uncommon.

Also, just cause you're broken as shit doesn't mean you can't be backstabbed. Just look at Gun-Ota. Dude brings a gun to a knife fight, but gets backstabbed and sold off to slavery in literally his first outing because he didn't realize PK was a thing.

Also, plenty of broken MCs get there through tons of grinding, the early stages of which tend to be life or death.

Still no translations for ch.2

So how disappointing is the anime going to be?
I really really hope it's good, I didn't dare actually hope an anime would be made but here we are, holy shit.

You first.

>4-koma with the truck in focus
>Random characters that usually are important gets truck'd
>First the kobold king
>Then the Four Heavenly Kings
>Then the Demon Lord
>Then the Hero because the truck does not differentiate
>And everyone inbetween

Fund it

you can't build your harem with just survival skills. need to get in some politics and economics if you want to rule over those primitive humans coddled by magic and game mechanics.

>Bocchi Tenseiki
God I loved this one.

that old man looks dead inside

Who’s the ideal isekai protagonist in terms of combat abilities?

MC from Young God Divine Armaments

He goes full Kratos

Kurono since he had to work and suffer for his power instead of being OP right of the bat

His waifus are top tier too. Top tier insane, that is.

I can't take it seriosuly because of a gook MC.

Unorthodox trickster fighter that uses basic abilities like Create Water and Freeze in creative ways to best superior opponents?

>Unorthodox trickster fighter that uses basic abilities like Create Water and Freeze in creative ways to best superior opponents?
So MC from conquering hero's heroine's?

I assume that includes the thousands of WN/LN. I'm more of a manga person and so far most of the translated manga isekai heroes I read about are different flavors of overpowered cheat skills/items/stats, ridiculous growth rate/speed or are "geniuses/gifted" who despite being lazy NEETs in their previous life learns shit super quickly in their reincarnation.

...

>Yandere harem that includes a loli, a witch, and a princess
Kurono is living the dream

The fuck isekai are you reading?

What's the best isekai you've read so far? Pic related is fucking great if you like world building.

Death March hands down

Fuck off

>“the death Mage”
>is a shota
on a scale from 1-10, how overpowered is this guy?

the moment they started adding the Ruler skills, it stopped being strictly about the game. Which is a problem if you were here for the game.

World customize creator, dungeon seeker, ore to kawazu-san, isekai cheat magician, isekai tensei soudouki, tensei shitara slime, the reincarnated vampire wants an afternoon nap, isekai shihai no skill taker, tsuki ga michibiku isekai douchuu, mushoku tensei, shield hero, and a there's quite a few i haven't read yet but are on my to read list like arifureta and death march. A small list, yet so many of them are about OP characters. Either I have great luck hitting OP MC isekai, or they are so common that randomly picking isekai manga nets one very high chances of landing an OP MC ones.

>dies
>reincernated in a high technology world
>completely useless for society

Starts of as a 1 but currently he's sitting at a 8-9

>dies
>reincarnates as a useless trap
>his brother is actually the overpowered Gary Stu hero-class who is the best at everything and attracts all the girls

Pic related is my favourite Isekai.

It's a light parody that doesn't take itself too seriously and it's just generally fun. Shame the manga is so irregular.

There is one where a guy gets isekaid and his mother turns out to be the OP'ed one.

You forgot the part where the useless you actually had untapped potential all along and that his villager/no class job class can equip millions of skills and the best items, which you stumble upon in the first/second chapter.

Hard-Boiled Wonderland and the End of the World was best isekai

Among those ive read, these are the ones that aren't COMPLETELY generic OP MCs.

>Tsuki ga michibiku
that ones interesting in that the MC himself is "only" ridiculously strong, and he's done a fairly good job of using what he has in a smart way rather than bulldozing everything with OPness.

>Soudouki
that puts far less focus on the MC's OPness and uses it more as an excuse to thrust him into the dangerous world of politics and crusader kings. In that sense, the playing field is far more even.

>Kawazu
it doesn't take itself seriously. a nice, comfy comedy.

>A truck goes over a guardrail and explodes in a huge fireball
>The truck is reborn in another world as a cute girl
>The cute truck is hunted by isekai protagonists who want revenge
Pay me.

Translations are in hiatus eternally.

You have great luck hitting OP MC

And to be fair several of those outright state MC will be OP from the start.

Try Hello Work, Kumo Desu Ga, Gun-Ota, Genjitsushugi Yuusha no Oukoku Saikenki, KonoSuba, Hisshou Dungeon Unei Houhou, Takarakuji de 40-oku Atattandakedo Isekai ni Ijuu Suru, I Leveled up from Being a Parasite (MC seems OP but is just in the starter area, and actual combat experience trumps large level gaps), Seiju no Kuni no Kinju Tsukai, Reincarnated into a Werewolf (no powerlevel bullshit at all), Ore no Osananajimi wa Joshikousei de Yuusha, Netooku Otoko no Tanoshii Isekai Boueki, My Pet Is a Holy Maiden, Alice Tale in Phantasmagoria, Because Janitor-san Is Not a Hero, etc

>Illustrated by Z-ton
If this was before he walked the dark path of NTR his art would still have some appeal to me.

>tfw I love kurono but also enjoy death mage
Either people are gonna run out of money or we catch up to the raws either way kurono will be back.

>This is fine

>Kumo
Kumo is in the OP stage, and I hesitate to say whether she really "earned" it. None of the things she did really trained her to take hits, so Patience is bonkers. Overall she was rewarded too much. Just being a Zoa Ere that knew how to not kill itself would have been a large accomplishment, she didn't need all the OP ruler shit.

>and I hesitate to say whether she really "earned" it.
How god damn long was the cave arc? How many times did she almost die?

The monster killer titles were plenty. Strength and Endurance buffs on a character type that effectively never has the chance to train(even though she could, with the massive amount of corpses to eat). That's kind of incredible for her glass cannon build.
