it seems pretty lighthearted to be an 80s manga

Somewhat. Awful choice in music though-

yeah, it looks cooler in the manga... but he is a
crybaby in the manga too?

Only cries on things that do matter, he is no bitch. He is still just a highschool kid though, so do not expect Kenshiro levels of grit from him.

lol fuck off the music is the best part

SKRILLEX was a mistake

really wish they had set it in the 90s desu

90s are gone forever

your point? the manga was set in the 90s, it would have been cool and unique if the anime was also set in the 90s to be truly faithful

>awful music
you are wrong

also the chara isnt the best

shinichi is cool as fuck

>shinichi
conan?

>Parasyte the manga is set in the 80s while Parasyte the Maxim is set in current decade

What do you think?

I really don't get this trend to change the setting of things for a more recent one.
Like settings age or something, that's fucking stupid.

it's easier to market an adaptation of a twenty year old anime as "look we made it hip and modern for the newer generation of watchers" instead of "yeah no one bothered animating this for two decades but please bear with us"

the plot is the same
mc is just more girly

marketing

It barely changed anything, it was mostly phones, do you want characters to go to a phone booth every time they want to talk to somebody?

>booth
memories

I did like the subtly changes he went from being a weakling into an alpha because of Migi in the anime. That was nicely handled. Is Neo Parasyte canon or is it just a bunch of short stories written by people set in the Parasyte universe, any worth actually reading?
