Since caster and assassin are usually the least powerful classes in any given grail war, will this guy and the old man be shitters compared to the yet-to-be-revealed grand servants?
Fate's powercreep is retarded.

>yfw Grand Saber is just another seibah

Seems pretty obvious it'll be another saberface, yeah. Maybe proto Arthur if we're lucky

I don't particularly mind. I can't think of anything more fitting to be "the Saber of Sabers" than the wielder of Excalibur.

im pretty sure the OG saber will transform into one in one of the future plots if not on the real ending... especially since they are not buffing the character all this time

Excalibur is a famous sword but Arthur is not especially famous as a swordsman.

Grand Saber will be Karen Kujo.

It could've been Musashi but they blew it
I hope grand rider will be Genghis Khan at least

>ushiface genghis as grand rider
I would be ok with that.

Why does it always have to be cute girls, why can't it be cool men?

But which sword NP could be superior to Excalibur? Grand saber has to have an NP that's superior to all existing saber's NPs

takeuchi, he's responsible for genderbending servants such as ushi because he doesn't want too many males in his franchise

Takeuchi's the reason why we have twenty saberfaces and more to come? What a piece of shit.

No Solomon and Merlin have reality altering powers and gramps is literally the herald of death and cant die wtf you own about also

We don't know what Merlin can do yet.

We know he can pop a dick onto Arthur.

He's also the reason why we have Hisui, Kohaku and Shirou, so I'm willing to forgive him somewhat.

>grail war
"Grail wars" were modified by the three founders to be biased with knight classes because they summoned servants of those so they prepared shitty vessels for the rest, in true none of the classes have advantage other the other. Chaldea system with different 'weak against/strong against' stuff is more similar to how really is.

It's simply what's the top hero of each speciality gathered together as the World's RPG Party.

Grail Wars =/= World system, user. The einzburgers, toosuckers and the worms only planned to copy three classes and they added the rest with nerfs because it would be the ones the people outside their family would use.

Solomon is so powerful the only way to stop him was through his suicide np. He created one in case his power was misused, otherwise it was useless. Unlike Gil he's literally the "Servant who can beat himself" deal.

>"Grail wars" were modified by the three founders to be biased with knight classes because they summoned servants of those so they prepared shitty vessels for the rest, in true none of the classes have advantage other the other.
I hear this a lot but don't remember the source

Doesn't matter.
Gilgamesh will always be yhe strongest servant.

*glances in your general direction*

It was in World Material. They added the other classes when they figured out that needed more Servants to act as a sacrifice.

Mind you, the classes are just only relevant when you have average or shitty Heroic Spirits who get boots by the class they are summoned when you summon actually powerhouses, the class is irrelevant. The only thing that limits them is their own skills materialized and nps, but that's a limitation they'll always have.

>when you summon actually powerhouses, the class is irrelevant
Isn't that only the case for Gil and grands? Herc too I guess

Goetia stop.

From my understanding, you can't summon Grands using the Grail. Probably why Solomon needed to be summoned by Fate system in Chaldea even if Billy was chosen as a Grail War Master. And he had his ring and all, so he had the catalyst.

It's true for Gil and Herk.

>It's true for Gil and Herk.
We got no other examples of servants who are great no matter what class you summon them as though, since most servants can only belong to one or two classes.

Cu Chulainn ?

Claimh Solas/Fragarach would make him pretty broken.

Heck Fragarach alone makes him pretty broken.

Nah Cu gets destroyed by any good servant with high luck since the causality fuckery won't work

Anyone who is world famous: Iskandar, Artoria, Karna, Arjuna, etc. Their weakness are always their Masters.

Cu seems way WAY better as a Lancer versus a Caster though
I mean he's not shabby, and actually WON a grail war technically but lets be real

I wouldn't say Karna and Arjuna are world famous
Even Gil isn't that well known

This would have been avoided, if Solomon-sama would have noticed him.

He probably won because the Fuyuki Grail war was originally won as by Caster, so he got the role and got Luck on his side.

his martial prowess and the thrown version isn't too shabby either
He great AGI and his Magic Resistance is described as the "perfect" level when you factor in his speed. Shame the original FSN servants missed the Skill and Stats inflation
Well generally fame is more additive and won't break a servant
It will however make one in the right circumstances such as Vlad

>Skill and Stats inflation
Stats are more minmaxed in some cases now (see Solomon) but overall they haven't been inflated imo. Skills definitely have though, same for NPs

It was his turn user
>Gil wins in the 4th kinda and in bad ends
>Seibah wins
>Rider wins in HF
>Caster wins in bad ends
>Basaka daughtered the grail
>Archer could be considered the winner in UBW since he was the "last standing"

Thanks for the tresury, my good man!
Let me habdle this, son

I meant him as a saber, Claimh Solas would presumably just be a beam saber, and Fragers works through time manipulation not causality fuckery.
Ochd Deug Odin: Great God Carved Seal (大神刻印, Ōkami Kokuin?) is the Noble Phantasm of Cú Chulainn in his Caster form. In modern terms, it is known as Matrix Wodan. It is a Noble Phantasm activated by invoking all the 18 original runes conferred by Scáthach together with the release of the True Name.

The power of the rune obtained by the Great God Odin of Northern Europe is temporarily released to bestow large-scale magic damage on the enemy camp. Furthermore, surviving enemies will have all their buff effects dispelled, the parameters of their abilities will be forcibly reduced by one rank and, in case they possess constantly active Noble Phantasms, those will be halted for 1~2 turns. An extremely powerful trump card, there is also a possibility that use-restrictions have been applied by Odin—but details are left unknown.

Also according to materials her can also open a gate to the land of the dead like Scat can, he just doesn't like to.

That's not your son, David. That's his grieving pet.

>He can create a territory that simulates Scáthach's gate Noble Phantasm, although that is a secret, even to Scáthach. That is because if his childish mentor ever found out, she would have assaulted him while shouting "You copier—!" Therefore, he refrains from using it.[54][12]

Then he is about to get 72 demons jewed out of his possession

>Fate's powercreep is retarded.
Yep.

Who?

Why do people hate him? He's one of my favorite servants.

Im surprised they didn't drop a second NP in his Grand order Materials. Fuck even Kerry got a second one.

Wait for his fit version

A pet in Solomon cosplay.

He is a shame to the whole Saber class.

Saber class is a fucking shame overall

All three main classes are a shame
>the best Archer doesn't use a bow
>the best Lancers don't use lances
>the best Saber is a little girl

>the best Saber is a little girl
But he's not.

>can't use EXcalibur at full power unless all seals are unlocked, which never happens

Wrong pic

I meant best as in strongest, not best as in most likable.

>already EX rank with just 6 seals unlocked, compared to shitoria's A++ excalipoor
Not to mention
>artoria jobs to a school teacher
>arthur kills the beast of revelations with one hand, twice

Point taken

So who's going to be Grand Berserker? Who's the greatest madman to have ever lived?
I assume this one would have to be an actual crazy fucker in life, not just any servant with madness enhancement added to it.

EX doesn't mean better than A.
Romulus or Enkidu would beat Arthur and their NPs aren't EX.

I'd bet in Thor or Magni, but Hercules, Lancelot and Lamorak also seem possible

>EX doesn't mean better than A
It does when the point of both Excaliburs is being pure power with no special effects attached. If the power is the only thing you can rank, then clearly EX is much more powerful than A.
Romulus doesn't have any feats yet and Enkidu is unfairly broken anyway. And Arthur has pretty much zero competition in his class considering how shitty other Sabers are.

In their case it's because their NPs work differently, Excalibur's A++ is essentially due to its pure power, só it'd lose to EXcalibur. Enkidu's Enuma Elish literally scales with the opponent, so it can clash or beat EXcalibur, it's more of A-ranked due to the strength varying according to the situation

>If the power is the only thing you can rank, then clearly EX is much more powerful than A.
No, since A might have a concept that makes it better.
>Romulus doesn't have any feats
MVM by itself is better than Excalibur since it's basically the antithesis of Rhongo.
I'm just saying, A++ or even A+ can definitely beat EX situationally. EX doesn't mean you automatically win against everything ranked "lower"

>Thor
Well, I guess if the Prillya system can handle him, so can Chaldea's. We better get an actual divine spirit then though, a Grand Demiservant would be disappointing.

>No, since A might have a concept that makes it better
And that's the thing, neither Excalibur has one. We're not comparing them to other NPs, we're comparing them against each other. Excalibur is A++ by pure power, EXcalibur is EX by pure power, so EXcalibur is clearly way stronger.

>Since caster and assassin are usually the least powerful classes in any given grail war
They aren't.

If Fate were really about world mythologies, it honestly should have been Cu. His berserking is a far more prominent and impressive part of his legend than his other feats.

>The first warp-spasm seized Cúchulainn, and made him into a monstrous thing, hideous and shapeless, unheard of. His shanks and his joints, every knuckle and angle and organ from head to foot, shook like a tree in the flood or a reed in the stream. His body made a furious twist inside his skin, so that his feet and shins switched to the rear and his heels and calves switched to the front... On his head the temple-sinews stretched to the nape of his neck, each mighty, immense, measureless knob as big as the head of a month-old child... he sucked one eye so deep into his head that a wild crane couldn't probe it onto his cheek out of the depths of his skull; the other eye fell out along his cheek. His mouth weirdly distorted: his cheek peeled back from his jaws until the gullet appeared, his lungs and his liver flapped in his mouth and throat, his lower jaw struck the upper a lion-killing blow, and fiery flakes large as a ram's fleece reached his mouth from his throat... The hair of his head twisted like the tangle of a red thornbush stuck in a gap; if a royal apple tree with all its kingly fruit were shaken above him, scarce an apple would reach the ground but each would be spiked on a bristle of his hair as it stood up on his scalp with rage.

Stalin maybe?

Thing is Excalibur doesn't have a property like that. It's just a beam, just power. It won't beat EX unless it's some sort of EX vulnerable to light of victory or something like that, so it stands to reason it won't surpass EXcalibur.

The only situation so far in a clash of power that mattered was Gawayn using Excalibur Galatine skillfully to deflect part of Vasavi Shakti's attack and even so he lost the clash and had to tank the rest of the power with two buffs.

Grand Rider is Genghis Khan.

Solomon and Merlin are nothing before Genghis Khan.

Genghis Khan — 'I am the punishment of God...If you had not committed great sins, God would not have sent a punishment like me upon you.'

God sent Genghis Khan as punishment against humanity and the world. God moved through Genghis Khan.

Thematically it should be a viking. Inb4 Canute as a Saber-face.

It's pretty obvious Aoko Aozaki is Grand Berserker.

She's so mad and insane that she would risk the heat death of the universe to get the results she wants.

No other berserker in earth's history would risk the heat death of the universe to obtain the result they want.

Because he is fat. Nothing is more disgusting then a fat person

I would've guess Beowulf but that ship sailed

Cain

Wait there is a male arthur in fate?
t. Someone who has never consumed any type moon media whatsoever, but really digs the chuuni as fuck servant system.

Yes, he also makes Artoria look like an utter joke.

Original Fate would have Arthur as a man and the protagonist would be Ayaka, a woman, but it was cahnged to have a male protagonist so Arthur got genderflipped.

Now we have Fate/Prototype: Fragments of Blue and Silver that tells that story, with Prototype Arthur whose Excalibur is more powerful than Arthuria's but in compensation has 13 conditions and 6 seals (the battle must be one-on-one, against someone stronger, honorable, etc.)

The world of prototype has been acknowledged to somehow exist and is connected to Fate's main world, and it apparently can be accessed via a Labyrinth on the Far-Side. Likewise, Male Arthur apparently is a valid possible past that exists.

And as if that isn't enough, in Fate/Strange Fake a woman identical to the protagonist of prototype summons this guy!

So they made a concept a non-canon story alternate universe storyline that was later made canon?
Because correct me if I am wrong servants don't neccesarily reflect the legends they are based on, because they are more reflection of what humanity as a whole think they were like?

Zel specifically sought her out for the Strange/War though
then after he scoured even more alternate dimensions for one with glasses
based Wizard

I would say that Altera’s Teardrop Photon Ray is better, since it has similar destructive power, can be directed at a point rather than a beam, and costs little mana to use.

Stop, Genghis khan does not exist in the fate universe and I do not remember that sending 1 million Asians to all the fights and not even participating makes you Rider.

I think that overall Altera is a stronger candidate for Grand Saber, but because of waifu reasons it will end up being Arturia anyway.

>I think that overall Altera is a stronger candidate for Grand Saber
how so? Ayy Lmao take on Attila the Hun be more qualified for the swordiest swordsman ever to sword over the chestlet that wielded Excalibur?

She has better stats than Arturia and is more skilled. Her NP is also better.

>So they made a concept a non-canon story alternate universe storyline that was later made canon?
Basically, yes. They put him in some sort of separate dimension connected to ours, and in the Labyrinth explored later we see this connection between worlds

>Because correct me if I am wrong servants don't neccesarily reflect the legends they are based on, because they are more reflection of what humanity as a whole think they were like?
Yeah, for some yes. We also have human views altering a few legends, like Vlad Tepes having access to vampire powers due to that, but Arthuria was more like a constant, being the King Arthur of the past. You can summon a variant of her, like one that survives the end of the legend for example, but that's mostly because the Throne of Heroes is independant of time, which is what allows you to summon heroes even from the future.
But Arthuria was recognized by many servants all along, the Male Arthur really was considered and treated as a separate version until recently due to that, not some sort of possibility or alternate side (which you can summon). This is why his situation is pretty ambiguous right now.

Fucking based

Grand Ruler would be Alulim, the first ever king recorded in humanity's history

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alulim

He was best friends with Prototype Adam by the way.

that was attila the hun, you ignorant trash.

Even he thinks he shouldn't be a Saber. That's telling.

Best Saber hasn't even been released yet.

>Saber: Altria, Altria Alter
>Archer: Summer Altria
>Lancer: Altria (Lancer), Altria Alter (Lancer)
>Rider: Santa Alter, Maid Alter
>Caster: N/A
>Assassin: Mysterious Heroine X
>Berserker: Mysterious Heroine X Alter

Caster Altria when?

won't happen, she's permanently triggered about Merlin.

She'd be an amazing Caster though, thanks to her dragon reactor.

Grand Saber will be Shirou.

Semiramis spanked saber pretty hard

Bedivere: The enemy must be more powerful than oneself
Palamedes: The battle must be one-on-one
Lancelot: The enemy must not be an elemental
Mordred: The battle must be one against evil
Galahad: The battle must not involve personal gain
Gaheris: The battle must not be inhumane
Agravain: The battle must be for truth
Kay: The battle must be to live
Arthur Pendragon: The battle must save the world.
Unknown: The battle must be an honorable one[1]

>Mordred: The battle must be one against evil
Seriously that Mordred was the one that made that lock?

Rhongomyniad has similar restrictions.

Altria's Excalibur also has restrictions, but they're far more difficult to unlock. According to Altria, she's never been able to unleash Excalibur's true power.

>Altria
ahem.
Ree.

It's because Casters and Assassins aren't heroes. They're either antagonists or sidekicks.

I mean, "speak gibberish and fire pew-pew from hands" doesn't make for much of an epic tale.
