Is this series overrated shit? A friend of mine keeps wanking the Chimera Ant arc or whatever.

it's worth a watch. the quality of the manga art fluctuates a lot so reccomend just watching the 2011 anime for the full story. the chimera ant arc is probably the best arc and the most liked arc.

Best parts are the greed island, yorkshin and certain parts of the chimera arc.
Though sometimes it gets goddamn boring, but the powers are quite creative so that a positive point too.
