I agree entirely. The past few episodes before the battle at the Gardens have felt loosely strung together - and now its as if characters are suddenly developing again.

Very odd narrative arcs/character design choices. Apocrypha hits enough spots for me to enjoy it (Atalanta/Chiron + Achil/Mordred, even the Yggdimilennia family).

Jeanne/Sieg/Shirou's development and motivation was just odd for me. The narrative direction is all over the place in that regard.

To be honest, there's really nothing that Higashide can do that Nasu can't do better yet. He needs to find his own niche.

I also really like the portrayal of Achilles. He comes off as just the right combination of arrogant/proud and honourable/loyal.

My main problem is that whole goofy attitude even to the point of forgetting his NP, but an user pointed out that kind of stuff is inherent to him due to his legend and the whole ''moon stole his sanity thing'', so I kinda of let it go by that point. Truthfully, the moment he New Moon is up, even while being carefree he started acting according to the situation and stuff like that.

To be honest, I wanna see what Astolfo's like as a Berserker. That'd be something.

I think that's actually one of the main problems. As a Holy Grail War with people fighting each other and their motivations it isn't exactly bad. It is the moment we find these alternate developements that feel out of place. Like, why out of nowhere put an homunculus like that in the spotlight? Or why bother shifting the direction of the story to give him and Jeanne that much focus? Shirou Tokisada is at least part of the plot and the main antagonist, but they really feel out of place aside the fact Jeanne is a foil to Amakusa.

Actually, if you're talking about her myths, she should be stronger than this. But since Semiramis is a lesser-known Heroic Spirit, she doesn't really get much of a fame boost. The only reason she has the Hanging Gardens is because of misconception.
