The last episode depressed me somewhat, especially the mushrooms talking about how the world is actually ending, rather than the potential for it to recover. I'm still hoping humanity can thrive in little communities with a peaceful way of life, like YKK. Seeing the next step along from YKK, with hardly anyone left is more depressing, especially in a dangerous dilapidated world, rather than one that's peaceful. Made me feel bad for Chito and Yuu.

They're not going to make it right? Even if there are more people at the top, it would take hundreds for successful repopulation and I doubt there's enough remaining supplies to sustain that many people or the population growth.
