Umineko was ruined the second Erika was introduced. What an awful irredeemable character.

The anime didn't have Erika and was still shit.

DEEN is just shitty at adapting VNs. FSN was awful, Higurashi was bad and is only popular because of the horror and gore (as an adaptation it may be even worse), Umineko was doomed to fail. Animating the story with proper production values and vision would end up great.
