>Best show this year?
Houseki no Kuni. Became pretty obsessed with it, though I managed to hold off on reading the manga until I finished the show. MiA a close runner up.

>Most surprisingly good show this year?
I didn't read up on anything before watching it, so I didn't expect anything from SukaSuka other than a generic LN harem but I really enjoyed it.

>Worst show this year?
Ousama Game. Self explanatory.

>Most disappointing show this year?
Kino's Journey 2017 or Kado The Right Answer. Kino because I'm a massive fan of 2003, and the remake was really mediocre. Kado because it started off really interesting and absolutely fell to pieces at the end, and kind of retroactively tarnished the good parts.

Worthy mention for Nana Maru San Batsu for being absolutely consistent from episode 1 to the final episode and for giving what it promised.

I'm curious what you found so disappointing about Kizu part 3? I was disappointed that Kizu as a whole was split into 3 parts when it really didn't need to be, but the third was pretty good.

Lots of crap to choose from, I guess Handshakers or Okada Gundam if it counts.

>Best show this year?
There hasn't been one. It's been a good year.
Split vote between Houseki no Kuni, Mahoujin Guru Guru, SSR, Made in Abyss and Kemono Friends.
If I had to narrow it down to 2, Houseki no Kuni and Made in Abyss.

>Most surprisingly good show this year?
Kemono Friends

a-am I missing out on something?

The "reveal" is a bit of a letdown but I really enjoyed it even though most of the things became really obvious towards the end.

Same, I didn't pick it up and I regret it, It's getting a lot of praise on Sup Forums.

Surprised people liked Houseki No Kuni so much. Not that it was bad by any means, but not the sort of show I would expect to solicit such a strong reaction.

I think you mixed up snk and abyss there.

2017 was the year of the 3DCG sleeper hits

>Best show this year?
Made in Abyss or LWA, fuck the haters.
>Most surprisingly good show this year?
Net-juu no Susume
>Worst show this year?
Dies Irae
>Most disappointing show this year?
Princess Principal or Kino

The show is genuinely good but I wouldn't be surprised if recency bias had to with it as well.

>Princess Principal
The ending was rushed and there wasn't a strong overarching plot, but the girls were really cute and it was great moment-to-moment.
You could've done far, far worse. Just look at Re:Creators.

>Best show this year?
3-gatsu no Lion. You can pick either season 1, 2 or both.
>Most surprisingly good show this year?
Houseki no Kuni. I almost dropped it without even giving a chance. Thank God I didn't.
>Worst show this year?
Fate Apocrypha. I only managed to finish episode 1 because of a Mordred gif.
>Most disappointing show this year?
SukaSuka. Not that it was bad, I liked it to some extent, but it had potential to be a lot better than your average LN adaptation. Unfortunately, it was plagued with LN cliches and one-sided characters.

I doubt it. Thinking back, there wasn't any show I'd actually like to rewatch besides HnK. Not even MiA. There was something truly magical in there.

...

Is just a bunch of shills

>>Best show this year?
I actually can't say. It's all a mix at the peak and depending on my mood it could be any of my top five.
>>Most surprisingly good show this year?
Machiavellism really fucking jived with me. Especially the latter half of the show to the point that I really was genuinely surprised by how much I got hyped for it every week.
>>Worst show this year?
Surprisingly, like the best show of the year, there are some real trash that are fighting to be the kind of the garbage pile.
>>Most disappointing show this year?
Kado or Bahamut without a shred of doubt.

>Best show this year?
Kemono Friends
>Most surprisingly good show this year?
Houseki no Kuni

>Worst show this year?
I don't know because I don't watch things that I can tell I'm not going to enjoy. I give the worst award to all generic disposable seasonal trash makers in the industry to share.
>Most disappointing show this year?
Seikaisuru Kado, but only for the awful ending. The first 2/3rds were very stimulating hard scifi, something we rarely see in anime.

What happened in One Piece this year?

>>Best show this year?
Houseki no Kuni or Tsuki ga kirei. The latter had no bullshit drama and told a pretty great story.
>>Most surprisingly good show this year?
Akiba's Trip. Expected generic slop and got AOTS.
>>Worst show this year?
Fuuka or Seiren.
>>Most disappointing show this year?
Virgin Soul no question. The first few episodes were good enough but then it torpedoed everything good about it in the 2nd half.

It really just was so surprisingly good in so many ways it really is a bit disgusting.

>>Most surprisingly good show this year?

If only as consolation prize since this really would have been the best if not for HnK.

filler words are pretty common, user. maybe try to leave your basement a bit more often, or at least talk to people on voice.

Anyone capable of writing a decent piece of dialogue in fiction knows that a little filler goes a long way.

>Best show this year?
Kemono Friends, with Made in Abyss and Houseki no Kuni coming close.
>Most surprisingly good show this year?
Kemono Friends. Special mention to the dabbing potatoes.

>Worst show this year?
Virgin Soul. It not only sucked on its own, but also shit all over a solid first season.
>Most disappointing show this year?
LWA because of how much I was hyped for it. Re:Creators for how hard it genuinely sucked.

Potato or Yome(Female version of book of friends)

>>Most surprisingly good show this year?

>>Worst show this year?

Ousama Game, watch through this shit and still don't know what's going on, Fate Apoopcrypha a close second after episode 24 but it has Mordred and Alfonso.

>>Most disappointing show this year?
Junni Taisen and Kino both of these are 12 episodes when the content both of these series contain should have been longer, over 2 seasons at least.

I want to fuck this diamond

looks like you completely missed the point. really not surprised though.

months later im still fucking mad because the first 6-8 episodes were actually amazing

Kino, the sheep episode was a travesty to the franchise

post at least 3 other cgi shows this year that were good

18if -> episode 8.

That doesn't make the series good but that episode was amazing.

Here's a (You) for being a contrarian fuck.

>Best show this year?
Despite it's issues, I think this is no contest Made in Abyss
>Most surprisingly good show this year?
Dragon Maid. All the PVs looked awful and I wasn't expecting to like it but it went above and beyond my expectations.
>Worst show this year?
That I didn't drop, Alice to Zouroku
>Most disappointing show this year?
Alice to Zouroku. Suka Suka is a close second, but only faltered heavily towards the ending. AtZ was downhill as soon as the first arc ending and finished on a complete flop.

What is going on in this thread... Not enough people are voting for MiA as best 0.0

Didn't watch it

Because MiA is shit.

I think it's the fact that it caught everyone by surprise

Like, everyone thought it would be kemono friends with rocks, but then we get buddhism, existencialism and suffering while being maybe the best looking CGI anime ever

I still think is an elaborate joke to troll people, like the new Boku no Pico, anyways, I will never watch it, I rather watch RWBY first.
