>New Makikomarete chapter
Had slight hopes for this series, but it went downhill fast.

>New series Isekai ni Tobasareta Ossan
First chapter was better than all 7 chapters of Makikomarete combined.

>Makikomarete
Nice of them to give the MC a not-slave that falls in love with him because he free's her instead of abusing her like is normal in the world, and then immediately steal that away by making her become a lesbian from a single kiss from another girl.

I wonder if the user who wanted to ask me something is around.

can't wait for all the bullshit the author is going to have to pull to make a kingdom out of a few kids.

I skimmed Makikomarete

What if the mc just wanted a waifu, but his slave thing now wants master and a harem to play with and she works in the background to expand it?

I mean it's not good but it would be a more interesting take then it is now.

It's normal for kids to be abandoned into the forest so the village grows a bit every year from that. Eventually because of the wars and stuff going on a group of adults comes and joins the village, but some of the adults include the parents of some of the kids that were thrown away so some drama there.

After that, the one small time king that the forest is technically within his borders, according to him, finds out about the village and requires them to pay taxes. MC and them pay, but know that since he's a tyrant, he'll just force them to pay again soon. MC starts working on preparing the village for fighting, also creating gunpowder, which he does a lot of trial and error for, took him a while if I remember right to get the combination of materials correct. He also uses Tetra's identity as the previous ruler of that territory's daughter to create a rebellion at the same time the King is away from his capital due to going to war with the other kingdom. Basically the 'good' kingdom reintegrates that small kingdom's territory and MC gets rewarded with that territory.

From there it's pretty smooth sailing. This takes place over a decade or so.

What are some non-shit isekai with manga adaptations which are not 5-10 chapters long? I would like something meaty which I do not run out of immediately, but it seems like all there is is these "just announced" mangos with like 3 translated chapters

>creating gunpowder
and I've lost interest

You should list the ones you've already read before. Just in case

Arifureta, and that's basically it

They don't/can't make guns. He just uses it as an explosive, mainly for the shock factor to be honest.

Don't know what exactly you classify as shit but tensei slime has around 30 manga chapters.

>Meaty
>Manga
>Good Isekai

You may pick two.

>Get Isekai'd
>Immediately get drafted into the army because I'm now a fucking peasant.
How come this never happens in light novels and manga?

off the top of my head: overlord, spider, gate, jobless, shield
if you lurk Sup Forums enough anything that get's it's own thread is maybe worth reading

Overlord
Kumo desu ga, nani ka?
Tate no Yuusha no Nariagari
Youjo senki(WW2 fantasy instead of medieval fantasy)
Tsuyokute New Saga (time travel instead of other world)

are some of the meatier ones. i usually just follow LHtranslations since they translate somewhere near a million isekai and isekai-like mangas.

If you really want something more meatier, try reading a light novel. most isekai mangas aren't that old yet.

it's pretty common for the isekai'd to be immediately drafted to fight the demon lord or whatever.
there are also a ton of peasants getting drafted fantasy manga
what's the point of making an isekai peasant if they can only do peasant stuff?

>it's pretty common for the isekai'd to be immediately drafted to fight the demon lord or whatever.
That's why they summon them in the first place.

anyone has that lvl100 farmer/peasant copypasta round?

What are some isekai series that don't have arcs?

like... do whatever?

wat?

Was surprised to see the Guild's Cheat Receptionist get a manga adaptation. MC was pretty out of character in the first chapter unfortunately.

Fuck whoever recommend Death Mage, worst waste of me time, yeah it have good worldbuilding but literally everything else is complete shit, it has so many thing wrong that I don't even know where to start

At least it makes sense.
I mean, we learned how to make gunpowder arround the 9th century and even then we just used powder kegs

>why doesn't everyone like the exact same things as me

Just going to assume you're joking.

He's right though. I find it totally incomprehensible how someone can genuinely like Death March.

>Death March
Who mentioned that shit series?

Sorry, misread. Dunno about Death Mage, but March is shit.

that's only marginally better. for all that effort and expense you could just make conventional fire weapons.
I'm guessing the author just wants to name drop terms he's getting from the history 101 textbook he's referencing

I expect some fuck up when producing and storing it.

I'm honestly curious what you mean by conventional fire weapons?

Word after killing the first pure bred vampire it got stale. Now I'm more interested in the happenings of the people still in the origin world.
THough the snippet of the cult waiting to reincarnate to meet MC is interesting so that still has me reading

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Early_thermal_weapons#Types_of_weapons
don't know where some kids would get the ingredients for black powder. but covering someone in oil and setting them on fire is as effective of a intimidation tactic as any.

On the topic of gunpowder, I'm kind of disappointed by the lack of Renaissance/Napoleonic Era isekai. Need something to scratch that itch while waiting for more Gunka no Baltzar chapters.

I get that this isn't really the most innovative genre but some of these could at the very least use a setting that isn't generic Medieval JRPG fantasyland.

Death March has the best world building out of any isekai by far. The best example of this is how wondrous and fun reading MC explore the underground world beneath the dungeon where he meets the mummy and other beings hiding from the Gods.

Soon

You're a funny guy

Death March and Slave harem in the labyrinth of the other world are the pinnacle of isekai each being the peak on each side of the isekai coin.

How is he going to cover someone in oil to light them on fire? We're talking defense of a village here, not some kind of fortress. Even when they fix the defenses of the village up, it's just basically wooden barricades.

Not enough breastfeeding

New Commushou chapter when?

Because peasants aren't usually drafted, because sending the people who grow your food, pay you taxes and build your infrastructure with almost no training is almost always a bad idea. Most medieval armies consisted of professional mercenaries and men-at-arms.

>『Blood is delicious, but Mother’s milk is still better.』
Best isekai line by far.

it's in the wiki article, using fire in war is not a new idea. it's not less realistic than making black powder as an intimidation tactic

>don't know where some kids would get the ingredients for black powder

It isn't that difficult to make black powder, it's science fair level nowdays.
Also that world has alchemy, so I can bet they are using sulfur and potassium nitrate for quite some time.

They have alchemy but it's more like just a magician thing for making certain items. The princess is the one that grows all kinds of weird plants and makes weird chemicals. MC gets a bit freaked out when she shows him.

The MC of that one actually grew up already.

Well there's Shinju no Nectar, as long as you don't mind the writer's lactation fetish. But most isekai with gunpowder weapons involve the MC introducing them, rather then the technology already existing. Naval/age of sail focus is another neglected setting.

For anyone who missed the shieldbro dump yesterday, there's a link to the thread:

>so I can bet they are using sulfur and potassium nitrate for quite some time.
not in significant amounts. black powder isn't a realistic tactic just because it's a "modern" innovation that the protagonist can use to look down on the unenlightened savages

Are there any better translations for MT?
I'm currently on volume 3 and it feels like stuff been machine translated at time and had no esp editor.

Are you reading the LN or WN

WN. Haven't even seen translations for LN outside volume 1 and several parts of volume 7.

>Shinju no Nectar
Read the first chapter and I honestly burst out laughing when I got to the last few pages. This is the same guy who did Qwaser right?

Like man, I usually don't mind people putting their fetishes into their own works but they could at least try to tell an actual story not focused around it.

>Most medieval armies consisted of professional mercenaries and men-at-arms
t. retard. rural levies were largely used even until the late medieval area. only very wealthy urbanized countries could afford hiring professionals to such an extent.

Latest chapter of Nigotta Hitomi no Lilianne finally revealed there's another reincarnator around the MC, and its an unimportant nobody.

>As the Medieval period progressed, however, this pattern began to change under the pressure of constant warfare. The growth of urban centres opened up new sources of infantry recruits, including men with actual skills with arms. By the 11th century, much of the infantry fighting was conducted by middle class freemen, who were expected to have a certain standard of equipment, often including a leather or iron helmet and an axe, long knife or sword. Peasants were reduced to the role of archers and skirmishers, providing missile cover for the heavy infantry and cavalry. The later Medieval period also saw the expansion of mercenary forces, unbound to any medieval lord. The Swiss pikeman, the German Landsknecht, and the Italian Condottiere are three of the best known examples of this new class of fighting man. The expanded campaigns, castle-building and sieges of the era also saw greater use of household troops, often bodyguards of the elite, with a variety of useful skills.[1]
Retard.

...

>he doesn't even understand what he's posting
thanks for proving me right trash

Meaty + Good isekai

I don't care what form it's in: anime, manga, LN WN whatever as long as I'll be in it for more than a couple hours before that's all that's out

More often than not it's a form of novel
so far I've gone through Overlord, Legendary Moonlight Sculptor, Kuro no Maou, Shield Bro, Dungeon Seeker(edgy as fuck but it's so over the top I enjoy it) and others i forgot the name of right now

not an argument.
Or do you seriously think most fantasy settings describe the early medieval era?

>shieldbro
WN, LN or both? since those have their fair share of differences

Try Mushoku Tensei if you haven't. I see you've read KR stuff, do you also want CN suggestions or just JP/KR?

Why do people use then instead of than, and than instead of then?
Is it a meme?

LN i think?
It ended with ultimate shield that can't hurt a baby and ultimate weapon that can get punched to death by a baby with her defences being immortal
And i think there was this thing of it ending but people hated it so they continued to that ending

CN stuff is fine too.
I've read Tales of Demons and Gods

And I've read the manga of that, meaning to get into the LN. I'll probably do that next thanks

>It ended with ultimate shield that can't hurt a baby and ultimate weapon that can get punched to death by a baby with her defences being immortal
That's the WN, but damn if that isn't funny. The LN right now hasn't hit the end yet. There's currently 9 volumes published in english and 18 in japanese, if you want you can start from Vol 3 since that's where the differences start to become noticeable.

Ahh okay. Thanks man.
Also very nice get

Warlock in a Magnus World is the only CN isekai that I've liked.

>1000 chapters
Holy shit. Gonna bookmark that

HOLY SHIT BOYS
This chick is based af.

I'd like to read an isekai where the MC is reincarnated as Louis XVI. He would try to avoid getting guillotined while banging best Historyfu.

A few of the better ones I've read are Release That Witch, Warlock of the Magus World, and if you've already read a few CN ones you might enjoy Cultivation Chat Group (not technically isekai but close), it's more of a deconstruction of the wuxia genre and is pretty funny.

>reincarnated as Louis XVI
Not isekai.

Death Flag is pretty close.

>reincarnated as Louis XVI
>but with magic
>Now an isekai

Source?

>reincarnated as Louis XVI
>but with magic

>still not isekai

It would be a parallel world so yes, isekai.

Isekai Kenkokuki

Vandalieu a cute!

Can you name some of them?

Generic magic
Death magic means what is convenient for the story
Absolutely shit job system
Japanese food
Bullshit death charm
Death charm makes all the girls have no real reason why they like the MC
Nobody have a problem with fucking a toddler, no even the humans
Japanese food
All the character are one note and don't have real character development apart of level up
Not real antagonist
All villains underestimate the MC, without exceptions
FUCKING JAPANESE FOOD

>it's pretty common for the isekai'd to be immediately drafted to fight the demon lord or whatever.

This. It even happened to Hikaru of Deathmarch, and she would have died if she didn't "awake" her "power of friendship" cheat. She befriended the demonlord but had to kill him anyway before too many abilities from "god fragments" make demon people mad.

>Slave harem in the labyrinth
Now that makes me fall asleep.

What's the father of trashy isekai, anons?

Mushoku Tensei

>The Swiss pikeman, the German Landsknecht, and the Italian Condottiere are three of the best known examples of this new class of fighting man.

Those were all mostly farmers who try to make a quick buck fighting foreigner wars.

NGE

>Steampunk era
.
.
.
Wait for it
.
.
.
>The bad dude creates fucking Sarin gas
Do you have the faintest idea of the level of chemical manipulation you need to create Sarin? This would be like a isekai MC building a gundam out of scrap in a wild west setting.

>a quick buck
While most of them probably came from peasant or middle class roots, they weren't "making a quick buck," they were profesionals doing it for a living.

The dude said he learned it from some other guy, possibly someone who also got isekai'd

Maybe so, but they were most certainly not "peasant levies;" they were men who voluntarily took up military service as a profession for pay or the prospect of plunder, not a farmer unwilling drafted to fight a war in which he is entirely uninterested.

>He gets his waifu back
>shes now a lesbian

You're a shit.

>Hey minion, come here, I'll teach you something nice. First you take some methylphosphonyl difluoride, and then we'll need a lot of hydrogen fluoride gas (careful, it's corrosive!), then we...
Don't even try to justify this one

The artist for this really pisses me off because of their shitty paneling and refusal to use margins or anything that isn't a rectangular panel.

It just makes everything look so stunted and narrow.

what isekai things piss you off extra?
>cheats
>i taught the dumb masses "crop rotation"
>japanese culture
>mc immediately fits in, becomes a celebrity, only villains dislike him

>Reincarnated into evil being
>"I must be a good person now!"
