It not completely innacurate. It's just a small subset of central african people. I live in a city that's 60% black and I saw a chubby guy once that was straight out of the old caricatures. Super black skin, bright white eyes and big juicy bright red lips. But then I also saw a little black kid one time who was an albino. Like straight out of the Omega Man. It was unreal.
So I guess it's more like them always showing Europeans as blonde. Not representative, but not like it doesn't exist.
