To celebrate the series' 20th Anniversary, there will be a reprint of all 35 volumes with new, redrawn covers, and a hint of a new series. No further details are known.
Takei also gave a few words of gratitude to the fans for their support through the years, and assures us that he'll make sure his works reach newer generations.
Christopher Brooks
>and a hint of a new series good?
Carter White
Flowers will continue or something else?
Landon Howard
>kodansha ?
Christian Carter
It seems that Takei with all rights to Shaman King went to Koudansha. Reason unknown. Maybe he was dissatisfied with how Shuueisha treated his property or Shaman King in particular. Or maybe it just didn't have any plans for any more Shaman King manga. Or maybe Takei liked Koudansha's approach and they offered him a sure spot in a magazine or something. We don't know. There were no information about court settlement or anything so it had to be a more-or-less peaceful transition of the trademark ownership. One thing is for sure now and that those sweet Kang Zeng Bang edition volumes will eventually go out of print since Shuueisha won't be able to print them anymore after this.
William Mitchell
I was under the impression that the original author always got fucked in japan and it was basically imposible for a manga to be fully truly creator owned, specially if the publisher was a one of the big dogs like Shueisha
Michael Jenkins
it's fine, it's not like I wanted an anime remake after he turned one down already
Benjamin Gonzalez
Nobody knows what'll happen to Flowers, it wasn't mentioned anywhere.
Leo Reed
Takei's art really has really improved over the years, I'm impressed. He's got a very nice handle of color palettes, I like it. All characters look so colorful and vibrant, it's very nice.
D-Do real life shamans hang dead rats around their dresses too? That's fucking creepy.
Julian Price
Fugg

After that ending I wish they'd just let it die. It seems Takei plans to stretch SK ad infinitum and I hope he doesn't. At this point I don't think there's anything left to do, trying to stretch it beyond that will just derange the story and characters. Well, Flowers already did that.
Juan Gonzalez
Maybe he'll just reboot Flowers.
Luis Wright
Maybe some people will finaly translate Nekogahara
Justin Morris
So does that mean the extra rushed wtf chapters are no longer canon? since flowers was a disaster/
Jayden Scott
God damn i can't believe it's been 20 years already. Kinda sad that all the works after haven't been so great.
Thomas Evans
>killing iron maiden jean offscreen Fuck you
Isaiah Hill
no, sk's already getting a digital reprint of 35 volumes, the og manga was 32 so the kzb chapters must be included
Anthony Cruz
Nobody cares about your opinion
Jordan Hall
goddamn, I wanted to see Hana get that zero pilot as his spirit.
Landon Harris
Didn't we already get Flowers where Yohs dead?
Noah Rodriguez
Shaman King didn't have any representation in that ps3 fighting game. Kinda sad in all honesty.
Jonathan Gutierrez
data Yoh was apparently found in the game, so he was planned to appear but was cut for some reason
Wyatt Brooks
It might be because of this? I doubt this was a sudden decision.
Jacob Jenkins
flowers was still running when j stars released wasn't it?
Zachary Hughes
How many people were randomly killed in flowers?
Samuel Diaz
none
Thomas Lee
>next week >new anime gets announced >the week after that >Takei gets arrested for molesting a little boy
Asher Evans
>Shaman King moving to Kodansha
Has this kind of thing happened before? I've heard of ongoing manga switching magazines during serialization, but I've never heard of a manga jumping entire publishers.
Ethan Bell
It happens, just not often. Mythical detective loki ragnarok went from mag garden to square enix for instance.
Juan Bennett
>there will be a reprint of all 35 volumes with new, redrawn covers Nice.
>and a hint of a new series I'm okay with it as long as it's not Flowers. I want more Yoh, not Yoh 2.0.
John Davis
Saint Seiya went to Akita Shonen
Leo Thomas
Gash Bell did.
Carter Morales
That's odd since Saint Seiya also switched publishers and Seiya was in the game.
David Fisher
>Yoh 2.0
But Hana isn't like Yoh at all and that's pretty good.
Jaxson Brown
Japan is not Burgerland.
Leo Smith
Takei was tired of Shueisha bullshit, like Raiku with Shogakukan and Gash Bell.
Daniel Baker
God I hope not
Kevin Jones
You are retarded
Jacob Perry
>When you realize that a crossover with CCS is now more plausable then a CCS x Yu-Gi-Oh crossover.........
