That's normal for this type of series though, you introduce the characters and then you start getting to the action. The anime covered only the first 3 volumes so it makes sense that you would get only a first taste of the pairings. And unless the manga gets axed it looks like it could run for a while.

They can't even do rom coms right. Blend S was trash. I can't think of a single A-1 show that is good. Some are ok. Most are garbage.

Blend S was shit.

This is a horrible mentality that justifies lazy art/animation/sound. Compare low-effort A-1 shit like Blend S or Eromanga Sensei (which put effort into Sagiri's character animations and nothing else) to the character animations and general production values in an anime like Hyouka or K-On!!

K-ON is overrated, but it's mediocre, not bad. Blend S and Eromanga are bad. Haven't watched Hyouka.

Honestly I'd rather watch Blend S or Eromanga than K-ON. Everything about it, though especially the character designs, scream the the entire thing is trying way too hard to be cute. When something tries too hard to be cute, it's annoying. Compare the attentionwhore who wears kitty ears in public and prances around in frilly dresses demanding to be called "kawaii" to the quiet girl who spends most of her time alone reading books and sometimes stutters when she's nervous. Not saying other CGDCT shows aren't guilty of this, just that K-ON is the most prominent and probably the worst offender in this regard.
