I don't know if it was intentional or not, but Macross is pretty hilarious. Not only the constant QUALITY, but shit like Millia and Max bringing their baby into a dangerous mission and then showcasing it to the Zentraedi made me laugh out loud.

It's a kids show, of course it was intentional. The novelization and the movie trilogy are a lot more serious though.

I haven't watched in the longest time, but how ace wo nerae took itself so seriously during the drama moments was the most hilarious part.
