This was shit

This was shit.

Yes, but it was also enjoyable

That's like.. your opinion man

I genuinely want to know what the fuck was going on when he was doing the ending parts for him to fuck up so bad.

The entire series was a fuck up. It was things happening with no set up or resolution.
>lmao here's guys who are psychic
>lmao here's vampires
>lmao what's a likeable character?

I wanted to dick Reika. How is the music in Gantz 0?

don't worry not everyone have good taste ...

Oh yeah, I forgot about the impeccable writing. The Chad's having sex with aliens being a high point, of course.

das rite

Every chapter had a fantastic drawing of a random topless character so it was a fantastic series.

To be honest, I only remember one thing in this crap.

gantz felt like an ott shitpost an that's kinda what makes it good

So, it's so bad it was good? I mean I can get that.

I bought volumes 1-3, 6, and 9-15 of this when borders was going out of business but never got around to reading it or looking for the ones I'm missing. how far did the anime get before it went off the rails? which volumes are the good part?

8.5/10

far from shit. bet it´s better than your favorite manga

>which volumes are the good part
There are no good parts. If you've read a few volumes and you're looking for some deeper meaning to what happens, or some answers to any mysteries you won't get them.

But it sure was fun

>it's far from shit
>things just happen without proper explanations
>characters get introduced and killed off with no development
It was a combination of edge and "badass" ideas but no substance.

I thought people considered osaka to be good.

I agree, dropped after the first 100 chapters. Inuyashiki is better.

I refuse to read any other work by that hack.

think of gantz as like a real exploitative horror action movie, where characters and so on are irrelevant, but guns, tits and gore are what the thing has in spades. the ending goes to shit because it tries to go deeper into the underlying ideas of the series (while not explaining literally goddamn anything or giving bullshit nonsensical non-foreshadowed answers) but eventually goes back to "fuckan cool fights".
it's trash, but it's fun trash with an interesting concept.

Inuyashiki is actually good and the anime was one of the best in 2017.

For me characters come first, then everything else. Even with dumb fun, I need to enjoy the characters at the center of it, otherwise it just becomes white noise .

"Ningen Video (人間ビデオ)" by The Dresscodes (ドレスコーズ)

I really feel so bad for the people who think Gantz is bad. It was such a wildride that I envy those who read it for the first time.

Except last part. But it had its moments, too.

well there are some nice likeable chars in gantz (like the old guy, the baby, the panda, katou), though most of the chars are just shitheads, fanservice or just poorly written. i forgot to mention later on gantz doesn't even really give you room to breathe, feels like it's just one continous fight that moves over the entire world.
if you like edgy 90s dark antihero stuff that's ridiculous you'll like the chars i guess

The guy who went there just so he can fuck the aliens is my role model.

It's only a wildride if you're invested in the characters and their struggles.

...

>not a loli
No.

...

...

my high melanine fellow.

It was good until the last arc.

>Killing Nishi after he redeemed himself by saving the Gantz kiddo
>Tae fucking up the team with her fucking moral bs when the aliens ate, slaughtered and tortured humans, with the intend to eradicate the entire human race
>Killing off Cherry
>Killing Second Kei because he wrote himself into a corner
>Space breathing "It hurts" without suit

Really bad, but still entertaining.

Best boy(?)

It's actually dumber than Gantz, and antagonist is fucking annoying as shit. And that's coming from the man who kinda liked Nishi.

>doing the ending parts for him to fuck up so bad.
I sincerely don't get what's so different on the ending parts from almost the rest of the series? After the Buddha arc you could tell we were up for some crazy silly shit.

Nobody here is talking about writing. Shit's an enjoyable wild ride that's all there is to it.

Nah, you insist on applying your own logic as if everyone felt that way. You didn't enjoy it, a lot of people did, just deal with it.

Dumb fun doesn't equal quality.
How am I meant to feel any excitement from this "wildride" if I don't care about the people involved?

>Dumb fun doesn't equal quality.
Nobody is arguing about the manga being a masterpiece of any sorts, everyone understands it's a trainwreck but enjoyable nonetheless, it's an enjoyable.

> if I don't care about the people involved?
I don't know because I'm not you, I didn't have that experience, I liked some of the characters and the tense moments they were in and I enjoyed the manga for what it was, I went in with the right expectations and knowing that I was in for some silly dumb shit and was able to enjoy the ride.

I was literally told I had bad taste for not liking it and another user said it was an 8.5/10.

Well yeah because you're being a little bitch about it and trying to complain about something nobody is really arguing about. If you don't like it then just deal with it. I think you missed out on such an enjoyable manga by going in with the wrong mindset or expectations, I feel bad for you user, Gantz was fun as fuck for me.

I went in with no expectations. All I knew is that people who died got sent on missions and it was violent.
