aside from gay sex and enormous amount of tits and cum, it's really mediocre work for Yuasa. Ping pong was way better

Take out the rappers and it's 9/10

Including the rappers makes it a 10/10.

>Not liking the rappers

They are the best part.

Debiru crybaby

Sure are a lot of netflix shills in here. It was an OK anime, not something mindblowing or great.

How did Yuasa manage to make it even gayer than the original?

Kuraibebi isn't bad but it doesn't really measure up to either the manga or the original anime. I'm enjoying it, though.

why didn't the english dub not dub any of the rap except for that one part when the guy raps to Miko?

How much do you think Netflix interfered?

Sorry, I only like Japanese sung by women

Netflix is ruining anime. This is the end

Clearly they forced Yuasa to make Miki a hapa to further their evil agenda or maybe you're just a retard who needs to go back to your containment board

They’re probably the ones who pushed for all the cliffhanger endings.

>rap
Fucking Netflix negrifying my anime. Seems black L wasn't enough for them.

Why were you watching the dub?

I hope we can expect more things that don't hold back due to TV broadcasting standards.

because there's an option to.

We approach a crossroads, Sup Forums. The future of anime will be either full CGI or full flash. Which will you choose?

that pathetic attempts to gain attention.
go discuss this piece of shit on reddit.

Everybody is going to forget about this in a week thanks to piling up everything in one go.

The replaced the bullies that gave much significance to Akira's change, and then became his trusted allies. The rappers fail on both ends, they look harmless as bullies and when it is time support Akira they don't amount to jack shit.

Both. I enjoyed both HnK and Devilman.

either is fine, as long as they can commit to not making it look like shit

Damn, this becomes quite funny without all the build up, voice track and soundtrack behind it.

>That track at the beginning of EP 10
Fuck, I can't wait for the soundtrack to be on nyaa

Accept the future faggot, that's how things are going to be.

You're right, paying genius creators to adapt classic manga better than ever is the end of anime. We should be pumping more money into 12-episode cliffhanger harem light novel adaptations instead.

Gay.

God this show looks ugly.

Well, saying best anime ever is better is not really an argument.

If they all look like Houseki no Kuni or even better as time goes on, I'll take the CG.

Pros
- It handles Sirene and Caim's part quite well, it manages to give the emotion the AMON manga had for them.
- Jinmen's issue is better handled, using Akira's parents is better than a random loli friend he had to make him cry.
- The downfall of Miki's family is much better holy shit, in manga one would only give a damn about Miki but here her entirely family is punch in the gut.

Cons
- The Miko character is a waste, why is she even there is question in itself, why use the name of an actual previously known character just adds the insult.
- Ryo's drama when he becomes Satan is flat as it gets here, the manga and several spin-offs handled it way better, here he doesn't even realize he fucked up.
- Action scenes and Yuasa don't match well, simple as that.

best girl

Full CGI but all the characters must have HnK butts.

>paying genius creators
And yet it's his worst work to date, a digression compared to Ping Pong and Tatami Galaxy.
The problem with Netflix is it brings in Westerners and normalfags who don't appreciate anime in the slightest, but only care about cheap ideals of entertainment, the kind who watch the dub. It leads to meddling in the Industry and outside influence and eventual Westernization. The source is irrelevant at that point, just like it is when Hollywood adapts an anime.

strawpoll.me/14773709

Curious what the consensus is.

>And yet it's his worst work to date
You didn't watch much anime Yuasa has directed.

Like every Yuashit anime.

Miko was a fucking wasted role, she got in the way of the real Miko.

>Miko pops the guys skull
>keeps on fucking him
you know it's going to be a good year when your degenerate fantasies get representation

HnK isnt full CG though, it uses a ton of 2D assets

I've lollygagged on actually reading Devilman.
Will I ruin myself by watching this modern reinterpretation first?

Somewhere between 7 and 8 desu, I'll go with 7

Just read it, it's only 5 volumes long.

Not really, all you can do is compare both works and see what works better for you.

>Yuasa made Devilman even gayer
>and it fits it perfectly

Hey, fair enough.

gay sex with two women, right? or I will need to delete this, because I can't accept a gay Devilbro.

Satan looks like THIS?

Satan a best girl (male)

Tare was a little shit that pissed himself originally, but that was the extent of his character.

Now he is a little shit that ruined his family, great, fuck that kid

Probably one of Yuasa's weakest works, of the ones I've seen anyways. But considering most of his works are 10s or 9s I still really liked it.

Ping Pong > Kaiba > Tatami > Night is Short > Devilman > Mind Game

I should watch Lu Over the Wall one of these days

Full blown homo sex with two men who loved each other.

the parallel account where its using the king of tyre to describe pre fuck up satan in the bible makes it pretty clear he was beautiful and powerful, so much so that he memed on himself with pride.

It's not gay if it's a demon

>mind game
>last
Are you out of your fucking mind.

The first half of this show was really weak, thankfully the second half was good but I expected better from Yuasa

this show felt like NGE imagery combined with Gurren Lagann fights and a plot depth of Tokyo Ghoul

demons are just morally busted angels my dude.

Is this how chads watch porn?

Why is that unacceptable when Satan is literally homosexually in love with the MCs?

Koda was gay before going devilmen.

It feels like 10 with Nagai's art.

Gay sex with demonic eating afterwards. It's like gays are actually monsters!

Devilman fathers all three

He is watching POV porn, I don't think Chads need that self-insert kind of porn.

Definitely not Yuasa's best but seeing Devilman like this is fucking dope.

It's not gay if it's a angel

That was a prostitute (male). His boyfriend was already dead.

He's watching POV porn up close on a huge screen, which in effect makes it giantess porn.

Angels are just spirit creatures with personalities after the same personality as humans, and a different perspective of time. Its pretty gay mang.

I felt like they did the Jinmen fight horribly. Taking away the entire speech from Jinmen made the fight lack the elements that made the fight good in the manga.

>Devilman is an actual work of fiction in this universe.
>No one bats an eyelash about the fact there's one family named entirely after the show, with the same thing with that one kid living in situation to boot.
What the fuck.

Whoever they got incharge of snatching up the best anime coming up knows their stuff.

God, Netflix is the worst thing that happened with anime after Fate.

It's an awful adaptation. Anyone who enjoyed this shit should fuck off.

SURPRISE GAY SEX MOTHERFUCKA

wow user thanks you changed my mind

This. The guy's important for how he changed writing for manga (for better and for worse) but his art, especially in the early 70's, is fucking horrible. It's really hard to read sometimes.

You fucking faggot.

Netflix is saving anime, you swine!

Admit it, Yuasa has no talent. He's only famous because he's got very little competition in directing "arthouse" anime.

>70% think its an 8 or better
Sup Forums really has the worst fucking taste.

>a plot depth of Tokyo Ghoul
Is this good or bad? Just glancing at the general in the catalog always left a sour taste in my mouth, so I'm assuming the latter.

It's shallow as fuck.
The common theme between all three examples was that they were all style and very little substance.

How young is too young to watch this? I'm just picturing some kid putting on Netflix in their room to this.

Woah subtle

I don't remember the homosexual scene but this anime is up to the neck in gratuitous tits and ass, it's definitely R rated.

But Eva imagery isn't shallow, and neither are its characters and their conflicts.

I mean, I dont think any sentient being let alone a child should watch it.

>secondaries coming out of the woodwork

Netflix has age restrictions, it's up to the parents to control it.

So, is this the Gatchaman Crowds of Devilman? Stop bullshitting classics, for God's sake.

I’d say anyone 14 or above is alright.

What the fuck does Netflix have to do with the fact that Ryo is canonically in love with Akira in the original manga? Except that it brought in whiny secondaries who don't seem to be aware of this and think there's no place for homos in the story.

They're referring to the religious imagery, which absolutely is.

Wait, so this was a letdown?

I was thinking of paying a Netflix subscription just for this, but if it's as shitty as I'm hearing I'm gonna pass.
