Devilman Crybaby

How was it as an adaptation of the original work?
Additionally, how was it as a standalone anime? Which changes did you like/dislike, and why?

Also:
>Things that will never happen

kill yourself, shill

upset there'll be 0 porn of this

Once you stop shilling suicide.

pretty fucking good at both of those things honestly

There's like 6 threads in the catalog and you have to shit out another one? How much do you get per post?

Let the shills be. Give it two weeks before people forget about it.

>dreading the miki scene
>actually has a chance this time
>that music
>does it anyway
Fuck everything

The Taro scene was worse.

I mean, the shock factor of the original can't be topped, so they went with the emotional gut punch instead.

Glad to see the mad chopper make a guest appearance.

That scene was the highlight of the show. I'm gonna have Taro crying and the dad slapping the gun against his leg and sobbing playing back on me for days

Theron Martin on Devilman:
>I was curious to see what he would do with a title that revels in sex and gore. It didn't disappoint, though it took until the party scene near the end to actually impress me.
>If you have a very high tolerance for blood, gore, and body horror, you owe it to yourself to check these last few minutes out.

Martin on A Little Sister Is All You Need:
>It would almost be parody if it didn't induce your gag reflex first.

Nick Creamer on Devilman:
>Go Nagai's work embodies a hot-blooded aesthetic that was revelatory several decades ago, brimming with sex and drugs and every other transgressive topic available. There's a clear audience for that sort of stuff, but absent some strong emotional center or thematic purpose, sex and violence just tends to wear me out.
>Watching boob monsters eat people's heads is just not my scene.

Creamer on Little Sister
:>A Sister's All You Need wins one extremely dubious honor from me: I can't think of any other premiere that's brought me closer to throwing up in my mouth.

James Beckett on Devilman:
>The experience was so visceral, unique, and just plain bonkers that I absolutely have to keep watching, if only to see where things could possibly go from here.
>...brazen sexuality that is captured with perfectly hedonistic incoherence by Yuasa and the crew at Studio Science SARU, and that's before everyone's bodies behind transmogrifying into delightfully insane abominations of genitals, gnashing teeth, and undying appetites.
>Let there be no doubt: DEVILMAN crybaby is one-hundred percent Adults Only entertainment.

Beckett on Little Sister:
>The opening scenes of this episode sent me straight into DEFCON 2 levels of repulsion.

Why aren't you watching A Little Sister Is All You Need instead of this pussy baby shit?

I liked most of the changes. Maybe I found the ending a bit too chaotic, on the other hand the manga jumped too far.

I thought the change AKira went through was too drastic, it just looked silly.

The monster with faces on his back. I didn't like how it was handled in both the manga and the anime. In both we suddenly have to feel sorry for a character we just met a few minutes earlier. OVA handled it better than both.

Why the fuck does anyone here give a shit about literal who Western critics say about Devilman?
Go back to Sup Forums 2.0

>anime is now Sup Forums
I'll let Hiro know, so he can close this board immediately.

I'll let Hiro know that you are his bastard child, that way he can kill you before you and your cuck stepdaddy try to jew him out of his Sup Forums gold.

Where's all this projection suddenly coming from?

>projection
>ignaciomontoya
If you are going to shitpost, why should I respond to you in any other way but shitpost back?

I think you just got triggered because I pointed out a double standard that the anime community embraces but cannot explain.

>pointed out a double standard that the anime community embraces but cannot explain.
Pointed out what? Most of these critics are paid fucking shills. So why give a shit what they have to say? People realized they were con artists with GG and the Last Jedi the final straw for most. You are either a retard or some newfag that needs to get out because virtually every board disregards them.

They're just reflecting mainstream views in the Western anime community and I really doubt there is an organization somewhere paying them to praise one kind of sexual content and condemn another.

>Last Jedi
I don't think that's anime.

>You are either a retard or some newfag
Projection.
